Bedard with one hell of a finish to the game. I know I know all we hear is this kids name. He’s not Hawks property and may never be. But the possibilities with a player of that caliber is unimaginable. Any team who gets this kid will be able to rebuild quickly. This is why I want to make sure the Hawks have dmen coming down the pipeline and a plenty! There are, we see them on display for Canada. So let’s hope it works out for the dmen and the lotto balls. Speaking of Dmen. I don’t see the lure of Olen Zellweger. I’m sure he’s a good kid. But he seems like every play is a gawd damn gamble. For the most part our very own EDM is helping hold down the fort. And if it wasn’t for EDM, Canada would more than likely be on the losing end of this. Brandt Clarke had one of those games that made you rethink if he even knew what hand he shot. I know they’re kids, but in the biggest games, gotta have guys step up. Slovakia gave it all they had. What a game they played. Unfortunately we’ll probably see less and less of KK. He came in on a limited role. He accepted it. His time will come. Unfortunately he sits for Zellweger. Not a fan of him on the pp. he’s been a liability from what I’ve seen. On to the next one, probably against the USA!!! Watched the last 2 periods today what a game. Boy the kid is fun to watch and as all sorts of swagger and hustle. As far as there D EDM might be ther best one. Noticed one thing I have never seen 2 dmen beaver slap there stick as much as Clark and Zel. Also after Kors miscue halfway through the 3rd he did not see the ice again. Will be wearing my OC jersey tomorrow hoping they can make it a game. |

Yours is a good description of what might happen; and, as you have admitted, it takes a few lucky breaks to have it all come together. But, as I have mentioned, it took the Avs 10 years to go from the bottom to the top and 30 years after winning their last Cup, the Oilers are still far away from winning another. So, who knows what will happen. But, keep up the optimism. Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. I choose to being optimistic and hopeful, much better than worrying about negative thoughts. Worrying about things out of our control is a waste of time and a positive outlook is better for the psyche than a negative outlook,but I doubt an individual fan's weaknesses or psyche will affect how this all turns out. We'll all do what we have to as far getting through this season and next,being able to still watch my favorite young players in much better situations helps me cope. I put myself somewhere between optimistic and pessimistic,the number of picks and cap space should improve any team and maybe the picks we got for those good,young players all end up being better players.....who knows. I've been tryin' to sit on any pessimism I feel and I appreciate those who are more optimistic but the task at hand has eluded many teams in the same spot as us and still does but a few others are also finally improving,so once again........who knows. The promise of a 'better day' has always been uplifting and at times fulfilled too. |

As far as Korchinskis miscue it's not as bad as Clarkes and Zels, especially when they both chased the same guy and Clarke tied up his goalies stick and the Slovaks scored, but Kor is only 18 and he'll only get better. |
