Hogs win 3-1 G) Teply, Hardman & luypen A) Reichel, Maniscalo twice and Roos I feel good for Luypen getting his own empty net goal. Imagine being tied for goals with your goalie. I like Luypen, once he gets used to pro hockey he'll put up solid numbers, but it's always good to be ahead of your goalie in goals. And his goal was assisted by Del Mastro, his 20th assist. Great rookie year in the AHL, he should be the #4 dman in Chicago next season, with Korchinski or Jones.

Thank COVID I guess for him being a fourth rounder.

hogs win again, 6-3 at home against iowa. seney, hardman, bjork, allan, guttman and pitlick. seney added 2 assists. stauber stopped 30 of 33. reichel not exactly taking off down there. 2 assists in 4 games with 7 sog. but in fairness the team seems to have played good since his arrival. theahl.com/stats/game-center/1025969

I watched the game tonight - it was a fun one cuz the Icehogs pretty much had their way with the hated Wild. Yeah Reichel had only 1 assist but he is more involved and making some nice plays much more than he was with the Hawks.
After watching half the game last night and the whole game tonight - there were several players who impressed. The first is Kaiser - the guy is quick and smooth - really like his game. His assist on Seney's goal made the play. He skated in closer from the point and found Seney's stick for a tap in. He has good offensive instincts and it looks like he's pretty comfortable to jump into the offense. Allan had another good game and good a goal off a nice one-timer. He plays a tough physical game which will translate well into the Hawks lineup whenever he get's his chance. Lastly - Guttman is quick and plays with great determination and instincts. It's too bad he's a munchkin but who knows - he may have a future in the NHL. There were other players of note but I'll leave it there with the three I liked the most.

I've been wondering how Allen and Kaiser have looked lately.

Hasn't Kaiser picked up several points in his last several games.? Am I remembering right? I do remember a multi point game, including a goal, recently. Hopefully it's a sign Kaiser is progressing like the Blackhawks wanted when he was sent down. I was thinking Teply has put up some points lately too. I liked Allan's and Hardman's goals.

I haven't watched too many Icehogs games - mainly because the onhockey.tv streaming service doesn't always show AHL games - plus the Icehog games are often on at the same time as Hawks games or a junior game I'd rather watch ... but, I keep track as best I can and yes Kaiser's offense has picked up in the last little while. So has Allan's. I think del Mastro is generally thought of as the better prospect by most people and hopefully he becomes a stud for the Hawks - but I like Kaiser and Allan better, at least at this point in their development.

Consider Del Mastro was a 4th round pick and how much he's progressed since being drafted, especially at the World Juniors going from a last minute replacement and working up to the top 4 then being on the top2 last year wearing an A, he's the one I'm most excited about. Not to mention being an Allstar his first pro year. Kaiser has always been know for his skating, and he's finally finding offense, but it's in his own end that's the problem, definitely not a problem for Allan and Del Mastro.

When Kaiser was up with the Hawks it seemed to me he was trying to play the game too quickly - like the game hadn't slowed down enough for him to where he could play fast but not so fast he would make mistakes. I haven't seen enough of him play in Rockford to think he has improved in that area. It may take another year or two but I think there's a good chance it will be worth the wait.

Hawks have the luxury of time, so there's no need to rush him or give up on him too soon.

milwaukee had won 19 straight until their last game a couple days back. rockford in town made it 2 straight losses for the admirals with a big 4-2 win tonight. first home loss by milwaukee in 3 months (dec. 6th, 15 games). askorov falls to 21-8-1. hogs were down 2-1 entering the 3rd and at one point trailed in SOG by 10-0 in the period before pitlick tied it with his 2nd goal...and then teply scored the game winner with 39 seconds left. lone assist from a nice pass awarded to reichel. seney added an empty netter. pitlick 2g, 1a and seney 1g, 2a led the way. commesso stopped 32 of 34. theahl.com/stats/game-center/1026002

Might have to change the name of the forum to "Black Hawks Prospects and minors".
We have more to talk about there than the parent team.

The Icehogs with a big comeback win tonight. Down 3-0 half way through the game they scored 4 straight before giving up the tying goal late in the 3rd. Game went to OT with del Mastro got the game winner off a nice 2 on 1 assist from Reichel.

Big comeback and OT win. Guttman, Seney, and Pitlick are clicking. 7pts combined Nice to see Allan get his 10th assist, Teply with his 20th point, and Del Mastro with the GWG and an assist to get to 29 points. Plus Reichel with his 5th assist in 6gms.

some good news to offset the bad. Five teams make the playoffs out of the Central division, Hogs are in fourth and eleven points clear of fifth with twenty games or so to go. There’s a good chance for third so this will help, considering all their injuries. Good thing Pitlick is a good AHL quality scorer, hopefully Reichel takes charge.

Zach Sanford Isaak Phillips and Louis Crevier papered transactions down to Rockford to be eligible for the playoffs.
