Hawks projected lineup from CapFriendly (Reichel experiment at 2C continues): I have been watching games since 1973 and even when good teams were very young in those years, I am not sure that we have ever had 6 "rookies" (I know, maybe not Calder-eligible, but still 1st full season guys) going every night? Am I fuzzy on 2007-2008?

I was surprised the other day when the Hawks beat the never to succeed Leafs, but it was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, I can't believe the same surprise will pop up tonight. But, it will be interesting to watch this work in progress develop further. I still don't know how they are ever going to get the kind of forwards I see with other teams to increase the quality of the team, unless there is some big spending on free agents someday. But I guess the front office will be doing that eventually. They sure don't have it now, but I guess that is to be expected when rebuilding.

Can anyone describe Richardson's 2-1-2 system? Has it changed radically from what Colliton had in place?

I suppose every game the Hawks play will come with challenges, especially for the young players. The Avs present speed those young guys haven't faced yet, especially the young d-men who haven't yet faced MacKinnon and Makar bearing down on them with bad intent. It will be a good test and learning experience for them.

Hopefully, they will learn from what they see and how they respond, whether successful, or not. But, so far, so good for that group.

Can anyone describe Richardson's 2-1-2 system? Has it changed radically from what Colliton had in place? I believe that Richardson's system is pretty much standard in most successful organizations. I think the biggest difference from Colliton's mess was that the players no longer all arrive at the rink in one very small vehicle and then pile out of it hoping not to trip over the extra-large clown shoes he had them wearing.

colorado has been kind enough to invite us to their last 3 season home-openers.
blackhawks have been kind and gracious guests, losing 4-2 in 21/22 (fleury stopped 32 of 36) and losing 5-2 in 22/23 (mrazek stopped 30 of 35).
hopefully this year they just bring a nice bottle of wine instead and go home from this road trip a splendid 3-2-0.
anyways, we are supposed to be facing georgiev tonight. he's played every minute for the avs this season, leads the league in save % with a .958 and is a perfect 3-0-0.
this is going to be a tough one. going to need some luck and some goaltending.
thnx for the start t-man.
!!!!!!! GO HAWKS !!!!!!!

First time in Bedards NHL career he was held scoreless......he's going to break out tonight with 2 goals and an assist. Hawks win 4 - 3 in OT
Big question: Who is OTH picking for this game......all the pressure is on him!

So far, if they didn't have the name of the player included, I wouldn't know who the hell the Hawk player featured is with the exception of Murphy
