this one is gonna be all about the goaltenders. should be an absolute battle. I'll take the cats at home in a game 7, but the bolts winning this one wouldn't shock me

One of the best saves I've ever seen. That was insane.
Bennett going down though is not good for Florida.
I feel Tkachuk is hurt or something. He doesn't look like himself.

Bolts in 6. I don't like Tkachuk. I know what you feel about Tkachuk. But, he has been on his best behavior this series. Very little of his usual bullshit. By the way, where is Phil? I came here to congratulate him on his Cats' play since I criticized them so much in their past chokes to the Bolts and he ain't around. The Cats play last night was as fine as I have seen in several years in the playoffs and they did it without Bennett. Their poke checking was absolutely phenomenal and many times they stopped the Bolts from even getting out of their own end. |

Man the Panthers look unstoppable right now, I love it. Refs almost fucked up the game with a garbage interference call on Forsling at the end of the 1st; when the Bolts made it 2-1 in the 2nd, I thought that was it, but the panthers hung in during that barrage and got it right back. Just felt like the Bolts were done before the 3rd even began.
Florida is just relentless in the checking game, forecheck, backcheck -- all of their forwards get back, it's impressive. Even a guy like Tkachuk, who isn't the fastest guy, somehow always gets back and affects the rush going the other way.
It always stings seeing how well Forsling is playing. Bowman traded him for De Haan, another brilliant move by him.
I guess it's easy to say when they're up 3-0, but it feels like Florida's year, especially considering what happened last year. Sounds like Bennett's injury isn't that bad. If they stay healthy, it might be their time.

My gut feeling tells me the Cup winner will be either the Cats or the Rangers. It might be silly to dismiss the Avs, but I gotta make a call and I've done that. I am so impressed with the Cats' checking game, as you described, that it is hard to picture it not carrying them to the Cup. |
