Two players from the Canada Junior team tested positive so the 3rd and final intra-squad game, that was scheduled for today, has been postponed.

Impressive numbers, especially in the WHL, which is know for being more defensive.

Impressive numbers, especially in the WHL, which is know for being more defensive. Valeno is the only one that didn’t destroy. But it’s still impressive as a 15 year old. Shane Wright was named captain of the Frontenacs at 15. Which is really unheard of. He and Bedard should be 1st overalls. I really feel you’re gonna see more super high end kids outta Canada now. Now that in Canada we’re doing more skilled based training for the kids, a complete shift from what we were doing before. It’s much less structure and more about individual skill. I think we’re about to see some really amazing talent coming out!!!

Valeno , played with our Dogs, had amazing skill but was to small, got pushed around even as a jr , but his skill with the puck and the way he could move it was nice to watch, and a real humble kid also

i can't really fault dach or fleury on this play. Can't deny the obvious talent but I still say McKinnon's pick on Kurashev let's that happen.

I may be wrong here. But I thought the draft now has rules that you can only pick 1st overall 2 times in 5 years? Wouldn’t Buffalo fall into that? That’s how Montreal got the 1st pick last year. NJ could not get it due to having it 2 times within the last 5 years.
So let’s hope Hawks come out of the gates strong. 0-9-2 again this year should do just fine!!!

The NHL draft lottery is finally here. Futures will be changed on Tuesday, but the opportunity will look different for every team. As a note, teams can no longer move up more than 10 spots if they win one of the lottery draws, and can't win the lottery more than twice in a five-year span

Here’s the actual link. It’s in the first paragraph, so you don’t have to read a long way!!! thehockeynews.com/.amp/news/what-an-nhl-draft-lottery-win-would-mean-for-each-teamEdit: Buffalo had the first overall in 2018 and 2021. So they are in fact eligible for the 1st overall in 2023 if I read the rules correctly. 18,19,20,21,22. That’s their 5 year span. I was hoping them bastards were out. Edit 2.0: Although I’d love Bedard. He looks to be the real deal. But Adam Fantilli looks to be something special too. So even if the Hawks get pick #2 or #3, that’s where you wanna be. If the Hawks are there, I believe they’ll take Fantilli over the very tiny Mishkov. Plus Mishkov has to stay in Russia for 2 years after he’s drafted. And that situation could get much worse. So I could see Mishkov falling worse than Wright did this year. This is why I’d love to see the Hawks load up on as many draft picks as possible. Some kid is gonna fall and someone will get very lucky!!!

I am not sure when the "2 in 5" rule started, but I believe it has only been in effect for a couple years and likely no team is currently effected by it as I don't believe years prior to the rule being into effect count.

I dunno about 'all-time' but in the '13' PO's,it was this guy IMO...... www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-h46vxck4gwww.youtube.com/watch?v=F1cVmhPlmBMBolland's 3rd goal and 5th point of the SCF! The huge hit on Nyquist sprung Seabs for the 3-1 OT GWG.....LOL! 'Davey Boy' was good in '2010' too, chipping in 8/16 in 22 games and 17/43 +9 in 67 PO games for the Hawks while playing tenacious defense and being the ultimate pest. Three of those 17 PO goals came on the PP,three on the PK and three were GWG's!

Jumbo Joe hated him that he tried to break his wrist off a faceoff more than once in 2010. Not good at interviews but he brought it on the ice, especially 2013.

I think Seab's to some degree was also underrated, both for what we brought on the ice but also in the dressing room. He might not have had a letter during the 3 cup wins, but he was by all accounts the vocal leader. In addition to the game 7 OT winner versus Detroit he also had two other OT winners (Preds in 2015, 3OT) and game 4 versus Boston in 2013. Hawks lose that game, and they are down 3-1.

Bolland would be my pick for most underrated Hawk - no question.
Crawford is number two. Hjalmarsson is number three.
Bob Murray is number four.

I wouldn't say Seabs was underrated, he's a Blackhawks legend and should have his number retired. My cousin Keith Brown was underrated, after his shoulder injury in game 4 of the conference finals sweep vs Edmonton the Hawks didn't win another game that season.

I agree he is a legend and should have his number retired and I am a huge Seabs fan. When you look at the 3-cup teams most people IMHO would first say the names of Toews, Kane, Hossa, Keith, Sharp, Coach Q before the come to Seabs, maybe even Shaw due to the way he played the game. You are talking about 4 HOF players and 1 HOF coach. I think Seab's should be a HOF as well one day. That was my reasoning for saying underrated, just some many other stars.

One of Bolland' best assets to the team was the effect he had on teammates, especially his linemates. Davey Boy had Kruger and Frolik 'up on the bit' all PO's,all three were fearless in the finals, against a team that could scare opponents. Bolland may have been gone in '15' but his influence wasn't,Kruger and Shawzie both learned a LOT from their time with him,ADJ was a nice complement when the three shut-down a RED HOT 'triplets line'......with the great Corey Crawford's help. If 'Davey Boy' woulda been healthier,he woulda had a longer and more offensively productive career IMO...........57/130 his last year @ London,91/215 his last two.
