Breaking the 49 year drought back in 2010 is a 'dead heat' with the '86' SB for me,and the Bulls's 1st three-peat was in the 'photo-finish' too. I was 4 when the Hawks won in '61' and 7 when the Bears got there NFL title in '63',my only memory was listening to the game on the radio with my older brother due to NFL blackout rules at the time. That left SB XX my first Chicago title to actually celibrate(and I did!),the DOMINANT nature of that win remains unforgettable! Micheal,Scotty and Phil were all easy root for and the sweep that 'slayed the dragon' from Detroit back in '91' ended-up with true dynasty status. Put a gun to my head(preferably empty) and I might have to go with the Hawks ending 49 years of Chicago hockey misery though,I still remember telling my now late, older brother that the Flyers only 'held serve' after game 4,we enjoyed one hell of a parade together! |
