Highlight assist by Nascar 4-2 Mich just came to post the same. I feel like it is safe to say he is done in AA after these last couple games. he has been one of, if not the, best players for us the last few weeks, when we needed to win the most. need gt to work his video magic here. that was a dandy pass. edit: I'll add that Frankie has been awesome at the dot as well. promising. I see Bolland, for real.

you see a fair share of goals scored that way but never assists.

That one should be 'Assist of the Year.'

Watched that game last night. It was a good one for the good guys. I thought Nazar played really well. Especially in a big game. Not just the assist. But he looked good on the draws. I’m think it’s time for him to head to Rockford. I’m sure college is a lot of fun. But it’d be best for him to turn pro!!!

If they don't win, he may want to go back and finish.

I really think last night sealed him leaving for the pros. I really feel like he has some Dave Bolland potential. 16 was 6 ft/184, Moore is 5-10, 181. he is getting better at the dot. he has the wheels and the hands. if he can work on his board work and consistency of effort, I think 3lc is his best spot.

I dunno man, I think he was already leaning pro and last night may have sealed it. one thing seems certain: we won't be seeing him in Chicago this season. I would hope KfC is smart enough not to burn a year of his elc for a game or two the last week of the season...

Moore is 5'11" 194lbs, and Nazar was 185lbs when he was drafted, same weight as Bolland, but he added weight and he's around 190 now. I like the Bolland comparison but Nazar has 2C potential, definitely 3C though. And Dave wasn't that good at faceoffs, Nazar seems better, we'll see how he does playing pro.

I'm not saying he doesn't have 2LC potential, I just think 3LC might be his best fit, provided he embraces that role.

I agree with everything except him being a 3lc. I think his ceiling is much higher. He has good skill. Great skill actually. He clearly has the wheels too. So I’m looking at a 2lc. Right now, Moore looks like he’d be a solid 3lw. I have to stop and think about the center position here. Can’t have all smaller guys on center. This is why I’d love to see the Hawks package a couple 2nds with Tampas first and move up to get Lindstrom and take Parekh with the first pick. I think that’d be a solid 1st round!!!

Bolly couldn’t skate!!! And Nazar was a natural his very first time on the ice, which is unheard of.

I hope with all your saying about Frankie's skill, I hope he does end up on the 3rd line, because what a 3rd line center he would be , It also means we pick up a better center to play 2nd line, what more could we want Bedard, the mystery 2nd center, and frankie Glass have full already

Bolly couldn’t skate!!! yeah, that is true. he was more of a goal scorer than Nazar is, though, imo. I should probably clarify why I see him as a 3LC. as I've already stated, I do not disagree that his ceiling is higher than that of a 3LC. however, I also agree with a lot of the "lack of size" discussion around these parts. in that vein, I believe that: IF we are sticking with 98 as 1LC (which i would imagine that is the plan) and IF we don't get Celebrini (odds aren't in our favor), we will need a 2LC with some meat on him. in that event, should a player like Nazar embrace the role of 3LC (with likely pp2 time, maybe even pp1), it would be very beneficial to the team, imo. otherwise, he may have to transition to wing.

Ludwinski with 1g-1a in a 4-1 win.
Hayes also with 1g-1a, primary assist on the ot goal, 5-4 win.
Pharand with a primary assist in a 4-2 loss.

dang, I thought he might spend another year in juniors. So could we read this as the brass being pretty high on him if they did not say, "hey, we love you, but we'd like to see you work on this next year."?

dang, I thought he might spend another year in juniors. He probably will spend next season in the OHL. Signing an ELC doesn't mean you can't spend more time playing Juniors. If he plays Juniors next season the 1st year of his ELC will slide so he still has 3 years of ELC left going into the 2025/26 season. Many Junior players sign ELCs and still play in Junior the following season - the Hawks signed Gavin Hayes, Paul Ludwinski and Samuel Savoie last summer and they all played Juniors again this season. Also - much the same as with Korchinski this season - Lardis will be too young to play in the AHL next season so it's either NHL or OHL for him - and most likely he isn't ready for the NHL yet.

I thought it interesting they waited until after he came back from the wrist injury before signing him - making sure he still had the scoring ability he showed before the injury. He needs to bulk up a bit to be more ready for the physical play of the NHL - plus he needs to get better on the defensive side because he tends to play with less energy and focus on the defensive side of the puck than on the offensive side of the puck - more consistent/predictable play.

Lardis will be eligible to slide his ELC so he still has 3 years of ELC even after playing next season in Juniors. Plus - Lardis won't be old enough to play AHL due to that stupid CHL-NHL agreement - same as Korchinski wasn't eligible this season. Lardis has a late birthday and will turn 19 in July so he won't be 20 before the end of the year and is therefore ineligible as a draftee from the CHL to play in the AHL.
