Hayes scored his 3rd of the playoffs in a 5-1 win, 2nd GWG.
Ludwinski with 1g-1a but they're down 5-3 in the 3rd.
Savoie with an assist and +3 in a 6-1 win.

He's listed on Rockfords roster next season on CapFriendly. So is Hayes and Ludwinski and they both played OHL, and Savoie played in the Q. Lardis will be eligible to slide his ELC so he still has 3 years of ELC even after playing next season in Juniors. Plus - Lardis won't be old enough to play AHL due to that stupid CHL-NHL agreement - same as Korchinski wasn't eligible this season. Lardis has a late birthday and will turn 19 in July so he won't be 20 before the end of the year and is therefore ineligible as a draftee from the CHL to play in the AHL. well that outta seal that, then. unless he is too good in camp, I reckon.

It lists his status as "minors" whereas Hayes and Lud are listed as "Juniors". I could be wrong but it seems pretty clear he will not be eligible to play in the AHL next season - so I'm not sure why there is a difference in status but perhaps it is a temporary thing until where he plays next season is determined - NHL or OHL.

feels like I read somewhere not long ago that he was likely not in the 'hawks future plans, but I could be wrong.

He turns 19 on July 8th. He'll be 19 then and eligible for Rockford right? If in training camp, if he impresses he may be told Juniors won't help him and to start in Rockford and he may get some call ups through the year.

I believe the rule stipulating when a player drafted out of the CHL is eligible to play in the AHL is the player must turn 20 before January 1st - so no, Lardis would not be eligible to play in the AHL in the 2024/25 season. It's the same circumstance that kept Korchinski from being eligible this season because KK's birthday is in June and therefore was still only 19 on Jan 1st of 2024.

Artur Kayumov extends with his Khl team for 3 years I’d have to think he’s just never making it over!!! Yep - at least we don't have the drama we had with Shalunov "is he or isn't he" nonsense for several years. By the way Kayumov is playing with Shalunov and their team is in the KHL final four and Kayumov just scores a goal. Kayumov, like Shalunov, is yesterday's news. I'm more concerned about Kantserov eventually coming over and even to a lesser degree Safonov.

Does anyone know what determines a players status as "rookie". I thought it was determined by the number of games played in the NHL - as in if the player is under that number then they are still considered a rookie?
But there must be more to it than that because Vlassic entered this season having played 21 games in the NHL and he IS NOT considered a rookie - whereas Marco Rossi also entered this season having played 21 games in the NHL and IS considered a rookie. Same with Luke Evangelista who played 24 games and IS considered a rookie.
What gives? Someone help me out here.

I missed the 1st period of Kantserov's game today but caught the rest of it and although he didn't get on the scoreboard and his team lost - I thought he played well and was very noticeable when he was on the ice. Kid is a terrific skater - pretty good speed and very good on his edges - and - he plays hard all the time and all over the ice. He's been used on the PP for a while now, and he was again today, but he also played some PK today. The youngest guy on the team and the coach is trusting him in big moments.
