Here's an update for Reichel and Commesso. Reichel has 6 g's and 11 a's in 20 games. Two goals and three assists came on the power play. If I read correctly, Reichel won't turn 19 until mid May; born in 2002. Commesso now has 8 GP, 2.75 GAA, .923 SP. He faced 55 shots in the last two games and gave up only 3 goals. Reichel was either the youngest, or almost the youngest, in last year's draft. And being a young drafted player in the elite leagues usually gets you limited playing time unless you're someone like Ovechkin, so it'll hurt their offensive numbers but it sounds like Reichel makes the most of his ice time. Those are great numbers for Commesso. Crawford was the last goalie the Hawks drafted in the 2nd, could be a great trade moving Lehner and possibly getting a future franchise goalie for him, and Demin could be a nice bonus.

I agree those are very good numbers for Commesso; especially considering he's similar to Reichel in that Drew won't turn 19 until about mid July. And considering the number of shots he's been facing. He's now faced 273 shots in eight games; 34 per game on average. Hopefully facing a lot of shots will help his development.

That’s really good for him and the organization. His USA development team stats weren’t huge and although he made the WJC team he was 0 for the tournament so these college numbers are great to see.

Reichel has had 1 goal and 3 assists in his last four games. For the season, it makes 24 GP, 7 g's and 14 a's. He's already surpassed his assist total from last season, when he had 12 assists in 42 games. I looked at the roster for his team and Reichel is the youngest F, by two years; and the second youngest player on the whole team. They have a 17 yr. old d-man.
Commesso played in Boston U.'s loss in their Hockey East quarterfinal game to UMass-Lowell. Commesso played well; he gave up 2 g's on 29 shots, .931 SP. His season numbers right now are: 10 GP, 2.68 GA, .924 SP.
On the old board, it showed Slaggert with 8 g's and 14 a's in 25 games in the regular season.
Basse's final numbers: 17 GP, 3.18 GA, .895 SP. The team ended up scoring 36 goals in 23 games; 1.56 per game.

The Second City link is a roundup of the Hawks prospects from the 2020 draft. It appears Wyatt Kaiser at Minn-Duluth is the only Hawks NCAA prospect with a chance of getting into the Frozen Four tournament. From what I could find, teams and brackets will be announced tomorrow, Sunday, at 6:00pm. His team finished second in the NCHC, with 53 pts. and a record of 17-5-2, with no shootout wins. North Dakota was first with 56 pts. and a record of 17-4-3, with 2 shootout wins. I would think Minn-Duluth would have a good chance of getting in, although I don't know how other teams that did not win their conference championship finished. www.secondcityhockey.com/2021/3/16/22333243/chicago-blackhawks-prospects-updates-stats-ncaa-chl-reichel-slaggert-commesso-kaiser-vlasic-slavin

fucking nd gets in cuz st Lawrence coach tests positive for covid.... useless fact o' the day. notre dame's #1 goalie is dylan st. cyr, who happens to be the son of manon rhéaume. she was the goalie who played a period of exhibition hockey for the lightning in '92.

They only played 15 games and while most of the other teams in HE played 18 and more games, BU got a big boost from their 10-4-1 record. One good thing about getting in is it will give Commesso some more games and against good teams. He only played in 10 games this year so some more games should help him, assuming they don't stumble early. BU has played the least number of games of anyone in the tourney; I don't know how much of an impact this might have. They've played in 15 games and everyone else but one has played in 25 or a little more.

The stats for Reichel show he's had one goal and one assist in his last two games. He's gone from 24 GP, 7 g's and 14 a's to 26 GP, 8 g's and 15 a's. Although I could not find him shown with an assist in either of his last two games, on the 21st and the 24th. However, Reichel is listed on the season with 8 g's and 15 a's in 26 games. He now has 23 pts. in 26 games. Last season he had 24 pts. in 42 games. His latest goal was another power play goal.

o, I am aware.... figures... can't say I am terribly upset about nd, but I still gotta feel bad for all the players. man, we had a good team this year, too. York will for sure be gone next year. we will see who else joins him. after the shit they had to go through this year, I am guessing a few others will bolt, Power being one. luckily we have another load of good recruits coming in next season.

The Frozen Four tournament has not been kind to the Blackhawk prospects. Wyatt Kaiser is the only one still in it after Minn-Duluth beat N. Dakota 3-2 in 5 OT's. Kaiser will now be in the Final Four.

I could do without them winning a third in a row, though.

I agree. At 22 and he doesn’t have good skill and underwhelming speed, usually doesn’t scream national league to me. But, ya never know, and if he ends up with the Hogs, so be it!!!

6'3" at 18 and already playing for the Hogs and contributing, I thought he'd be a long term project but he made the jump to pro and looking good.

Hoping he does. It'll also be sweet if the 4th and 7th round picks from the same draft pan out, Krutil and Crevier. Both big righties, 6'3" and 6'8". Krutil made the jump to the AHL like Phillips and plays a solid defensive game. Crevier is a long shot but his scouting report says he moves well for a big guy and he's excellent at using his reach, which is a lot. Plus he's putting up decent numbers this season in the QMJHL. The Hawks blueline could be much bigger in the future, especially if Vlasic and Regula are both on there, 6'6" defensive dman and a 6'4" offensive one.
