I was watching a game on my DVR today that I actually recorded during the lockout. It was between the Hawks and the Leafs from 1971. While watching, I'd google some names of both teams to learn more about some of them. While googling, I came across an obscure fact that my first thought was: What parent would do this to a boy? So, I am starting this thread with the following Trivia Question:
What former Hawks employee (could be players, coaches, management, etc) had the middle name TULIP?

Good to see a thread for fun. Without googling. I will say it has to be Stan Bowman. Or Harry Dick!!!

Who was ER's favorite player when he first became a fan? Hint: he wore a 2-digit number which adds up to 7 when the two numbers are added together. This player went by a nickname and had a brother who also played for the Hawks. His brother was infamous for something bad he did. This obscure factoid was posted on the old board several times over the years.
EDit: correction - the two number add up to 7, not 17.

You got the correct answer even with my math error (which I've now corrected). Guess that one was too easy for a long time Hawks fan.

It's more or less a silly reason - I had a good friend of Mexican heritage who was called Chico which made me think Chico Maki was Mexican and I thought it was cool a Mexican was playing in the NHL. I didn't find out till years later that Chico was from Canada. I was 12 years old and in 7th grade - what did I know?

Just so you'll know your brain is still working, here's a real easy one:
What former Blackhawk head coach had the same first name as a popular dog food?

Unfortunately Wayne died at a much too young age of 29 due to brain cancer
