Just so you'll know your brain is still working, here's a real easy one: What former Blackhawk head coach had the same first name as a popular dog food? Alpo

Chico also had a brother playing named Wayne Maki. Unfortunately Wayne died at a much too young age of 29 due to brain cancer I believe Wayne was the Hawk player that injured Ted Green (Bruins) in a stick-swinging incident in a pre-season game, way back in the 60's.

Took it and didn't fare too well. I knew a few of them but when guessing I missed the majority.....usually multiple times I’m with ya. I think I got 3 or 4. Probably 3. By probably 3 I mean 2. By 2 I probably mean one. By one I mean I struck the F*** out!!!

I actually did ok on the back half when most of the questions were from the later half of the century. I did get the question right about Mush March. What a F****** beauty he was!!!

Chico also had a brother playing named Wayne Maki. Unfortunately Wayne died at a much too young age of 29 due to brain cancer Wayne wasn't related to Chico Maki, was he? By the way, Chico Maki might be in my Top 5 Hawk names. My favorite name for any NHL'er has to be Yvonne Cornoyer. It rolls in such a cool way.

Hahahahaha. We have a turd in the punchbowl, I repeat, we have a turd in the punchbowl!!! lol! My parents once put together a social club in which a pair of couples would plan a ridiculously fun evening for about 15-20 couples. Well, one of those evenings was a long series of initiations, one of which was being blindfolded and having the person's hand guided into a toilet bowl in which a rotten peeled banana awaited their firm grasp. Let's just say that a good portion of the dues went towards alcohol for each monthly event.

I thought it was pretty good considering the circumstances. Also that the Tigers weren’t in it ( or may never be again). I was happy for the Dodgers. Is it just me, or was Lasorda ancient in 88? What the hell is he now? He’s gonna be around another 5 decades it seems!!!

You’re welcome for Kirk Gibson in 88. He may have been broken, but he still worked. My Tigers dismantled way too early. Mike Illitch bought the team a few years after they dumped everyone. I feel they did the same back in 2015, they traded Verlander, Price, let Scherzer walk, traded Porcello, Fister etc. They had some good pitching to march forward with, and made a horrible mistake of signing Cabrera when he had another year left on his deal and was seriously breaking down, but heyyyy, 35 million a year ain’t shttttttt. But that’s my whine, congrats for sticking it out 32 years!!!

There's a couple of other nice blossoming players. It's an uphill climb, but they're not quite at Ground Zero.

You are correct. Wayne Maki was playing for the Philadelphia Flyers when he and Ted Green got into that stick swing duel. This was after his short time with the Hawks. I remember it very well. Ted Green was playing for the Boston Bruins.

I went 15/20 on the trivia...
I got one: What Hawks goalie stopped 80 of 83 shots in a 3-2 loss to Boston in 1943?
This came up on the scoreboard once, and it's been stuck in my ever since...relevant question now as the shots faced may be broken next year with the stellar D the team will have...

I have no idea.....but with the current defense and goalie situation, you may be right in the number of shots they'd see, but if they see over 80, I'd suspect the number of goals would be closer to 20

Q: What former Blackhawk was cast as a teammate on the Mustangs of Dean Youngblood in the movie "Youngblood?" Man, I own the movie but it's been too long since I've last watched it. I know Eric Nesterenko is in it, but he was the dad if I remember correctly (or grandfather?) so would not have been a team mate.

Q: What American name did Russian D man Igor Kravchuk christen himself during his time on the Hawks? And this one is frustrating because again it's been so long but I do remember he had one.
So I'm 0 for 3 on your trivia (I refuse to cheat and look it up )

The Flin Flon Flash was indeed Dean's dad, but not his teammate...I'll give it a bit to let others try...hint: He was born in England.
