Hopefully with Bowman not using his cap space it means he was told not too and he had to wait and see how his team did, well they're 8pts out of a playoff spot right before the trade deadline. Lets hope this is the end of the Bowman era in Chicago, seems like the perfect time to fire him and let Colliton go 🤞 He may very well have handcuffs on. They probably gave him the year to put forth his team, and they won’t allow a total direction change, as that would be an organizational shift and not a Bowman shift. I think that’s most likely the case, and he struck out big time, it’s like the rest of the league are the Houston Astros and he can’t figure out how they’re hitting home runs!!! Inactivity before the TDL might indeed mean SB's days are numbered but becoming a seller would require the FO to admit the team wasn't a PO contender and they've been mis-leading their fanbase.....won't happen. The team was supposed to be a "PO team" back when they fired a HoF legend...…..the team has gone two over in the 127 games since! Look for more 'no man's land' next year. Time to clean house on this shit show!

I wouldn´t mind seeing Gallant behind the hawks bench next year. I like what he did for both Florida and Vegas.

YES, Turk would, be a great man to have behind the bench, but not with Stan still here, until the FO realizes how bad some of his trades and signing were, then we are stuck with him

I wonder why? he works his players hard. good in the short term, wears out his welcome quickly. not sure that that isn't what this team needs now, though, tbh....

You can bag skate Kane and Toews till the cows come home but Ryan Carpenter would still be the team's 2LC. Maybe the problem with all the young players regressing is discipline but if it was as easy as just kickin' guys in the ass,a lot of coaches would still have jobs. A goaltender stopping' 85% of the shots he sees hasn't helped either.

I can think of 2 players that should be playing there right now....

so we are clear Bob, I agree on Carpenter 100%. now that things are looking grim, I think you let the youngster man that post for the rest of the season.

Sounds a lot like Mike Kennan maybe not quite that big of an asshole. lol. hey, you live down there! what's the scoop? why was he ousted? This is an article I found and straight from Gallant:
"I wasn't fired because of analytics," he continued. "I loved coaching the Florida Panthers and I'm a stubborn guy at times; maybe I said a little too much, maybe I gave my opinion a little bit too much. Maybe when they asked for my opinion, I have an honest opinion and sometimes it doesn't help you. Maybe it wasn't always what they wanted to hear. I don't know where it went from there ..."

well there ya go. I didn't recall it being a player issue, kinda thought it was some bs him being let go by Florida.
sounds like a guy a new GM would have to hire.

Can't wait to see what bottom feeder reclamation project SB will dredge for Gus.

I get why Colliton has him with Kane, he wants a defensive center who can win draws, to bad he can't keep up in the offensive zone though. Strome isn't a winger but I'd much rather see him with Saad and Kane.

I'd have Strome up with those two mainly for assessment purposes, big decision coming up with Strome and I'd want to know if he's the 2LC or not or a center or not for that matter. At least our scoring was spread out last night......all one goal of it!
