Hartman has always played like this, kind of a Tkachuk Lite. Why not go after the real perp if you want revenge? interesting exchange here. jamal mayers is taking heat for his comments here. i think i get what he was trying to say but i don't think he did a good job of getting his point accross. and the more i hear jen botterill talk the more i like her. it seems she gets a bit pissed off here. not sure i'd want her mad at me. : ) Great back and forth, just like buddies arguing over beers at a bar, good debate and TV.

hagel with an empty netter to end his 18 game goal drought.
nice to see that in the game tonight, among TB's fwds he had the 3rd highest toi. looking a bit deeper during his 18 game drought, he was still 3rd among fwds in ice time so nobody on that coaching staff has given up on him obviously.
he's going to pot a few now i reckon.

I wonder if the Hawks could make a trade with Tampa. Let’s say Johnson at half price for Tampa to “unprotect” their 1st rounder Chicago has? That’s a deal I’d like to see. All Tampa would be giving up is a few spots. So it wouldn’t hurt their current crop of picks or prospects!!!

Welp, I never seen this coming. If the Czechs played like this more often. They’d be playing for the gold. Can’t believe they came from behind and gave up on their 5 in their own goal crease!!!

Curious what Kane did today to get a 2 minute unsportsmanlike conduct penalty?

Maple Leafs give William Nylander team-record $92M contract, AAV $11.5M imagine giving this guy a full 8 years and Matthews, a player who has won multiple awards, half of that... although, I guess that is what he (AM) preferred. gotta wonder if Tavares or Marner will be on the block this summer...

Still need help with D and goaltending yep. I would've never given him that kind of money. that is more than Pasta and he ain't Pastrnak. not to mention he only started playing this way this season (maybe at times last season). this reeks of a contract that will look terrible in a few years, especially when the loafs still can't win anything...

Their 5mil caphits will be added on to Nylander

TJ may stay. I believe he’d like to finish off with the wings. Close to home etc. both Marner and Tavares have NMC. So I doubt they’re going anywhere. Tavares already said he will finish his contract with the Leaves. I’d bet he wants to stay. It’s his home town team. So I look for him to remain there on a cap friendly home town discount. I think they’ll lose their 1st rounder this year moving salary at the draft table. They’ll lose TJ and lose Tavares deals in consecutive years. So they’ll be ok, but barely!!!

Crazy trade. CG didnt want to be a Flyer so much that he wasnt talking to them. A Flyer rep had to fly to the Worlds to get in touch with him

Will remain with him all the time and each time he goes through a slump, attitude will be brought to attention. Flyers should have remained silent on this one IMHO and focus on Drysdale coming in and not Gauthier going out.

Crazy trade. CG didnt want to be a Flyer so much that he wasnt talking to them. A Flyer rep had to fly to the Worlds to get in touch with him Unacceptable. Just request a trade. This is much worse than Lindros. Keith Jones and Danny Briere seem like top notch dudes. Torts won’t be there forever, and to not even talk to them sounds like he has a gawd dam drug problem. I mean, doesn’t he even have an agent to speak through? I just don’t think draft picks should justify where they play. Never burn a bridge. Let’s say in 8-9 years from now he’s a free agent and Philly is a contender. With cap space. Just stupid. The way 5-6 of those kids acted the WJC was unclassy. He was definitely one of them. Hopefully he can get this behind him and move on. As for the Ducks. Bad move. Reminds me of Montreal trading Sergachev for Drouin. I know they’ve got a few good Dmen in the system. But Drysdale could easily become a #1 dman. He’s a stud!!!

They knew about CG not wanting to be a Flyer since last summer and the Flyers decided to keep it quiet to “protect” CG and hoping CG changes his mind. BTW, the “flyers’ rep” that flew to World to talk to CG was Briere and Jones themselves www.nbcsportsphiladelphia.com/nhl/philadelphia-flyers/flyers-forced-to-trade-top-prospect-cutter-gauthier-to-anaheim-ducks/557096/?amp=1

I'm sure frustration set-in and the fan base might want to know why a promising prospect was moved too. I agree though.....unheard of!

I guess there's more to that rivalry than meets the eye, I coulda done w/o a lot of the showboating too but I do w/o more and more these days with our youth. I agree as far as the trade though, the BALLS on that kid! Verbeek ground Drysdale close to the point of holding-out before he signed a very reasonable 2.3MX3 bridge deal that keeps him a RFA at it's end, that wasn't a vote of confidence after Power and Sanderson got 8MX8 after one good season of their own at the same age. This goes to show us that teams WILL part with good young players and do it regularly. Shane Pinto comes off suspension soon(Ottawa's played 35gms),they still don't have the cap-space and they're going in the wrong direction. He'll need a change of scenery........pursue this player!

I agree on Pinto. Not sure what happened there, but he’s a real NHL player and probably still developing. I’m doubting the Hawks have many real NHL players at this point. Sure injuries have been epic. But the team wasn’t set up with depth. As far as the kids go. I don’t think they’re lost causes. I remember Lias Andersson threw his silver medal over the glass. I felt that was a death knell for his career. And it was. He had attitude and the Rags wouldn’t deal with it. I believe he was dealt to LA and dwindled down to the AHL. There’s a reason why he hasn’t gone back to Sweden to play pro hockey there and make more money. About Cutta. I wish him well. But like many others, he’s set himself up with a harder road. I think the Flyers got the better of that deal. They even got a 2nd rounder for him. I’d like to see KD get in on some of these trades. A rebuild could go quicker. After this year. Do the Hawks really need all the picks in 2025 or later? Not necessarily that s Cutta guy. But Drysdale I wanted the Hawks to draft bad!!!
