I think it is a joke. just call the season and start a new on time in October..... i was a staunch supporter of the idea at the start but as time goes by i'm thinking maybe it's not such a hot idea after all. if they do continue and see this thing out to a cup champion, the winners will have an asterisk the size of a hub cap beside their win throughout history. so yeah....i'm leaning your way a bit more every day but if it does go ahead i will be seriously following it same as usual.

To date, 10 NHL players have been confirmed to have contracted the novel coronavirus. The Boston Bruins confirmed a case earlier this week, while the Pittsburgh Penguins announced June 4 that one of their players had tested positive. That was the first announced case among NHL players since the Colorado Avalanche said April 7 that a third member of the team had returned a positive test result. The other five players who tested positive are members of the Ottawa Senators.www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/arizona-coyotes-staff-member-tests-positive-covid-19/ If they're finding a case or two due to wide spread testing, then it might not be a big issue but if they're finding cases right off, that's a problem.

www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/sources-coyotes-relationship-gm-chayka-fell-apart-new-opportunity/sn-amp/?__twitter_impression=trueSounds like Chayka and the Yotes are all but done. Seems he was in over his head and wanted out at all costs. He even was searching for another job that wasn’t a GM position. Apparently the Taylor Hall grade wasn’t Chayka’s doing. And ownership met with Hall for dinner last week and Chayka wasn’t there. So a lot of weird scenarios abound as to what happened. But one that’s circling around is that he was in over his head and just wanted to keep advancing through the draft. Steve Sullivan is assistant GM. I’m sure he’s had a few conversations with the owners about the direction. It looks like the owners son and Sully are pulling the reigns for now!!!

Yes it is. He’d be a solid guy to have around an org. I love stories like his. No one wanted him. He was put on waivers and it fuelled him to be great. I would bet that he will be a good executive in hockey!!!

chayka's statement.
coyote's statement.
the coyotes have asked the league to "adjudicate the ugly divorce" between chayka and the organization.

From what I’ve heard. Chayka was forced into trading for Hall. And he obviously didn’t wanna sign him. Personally, I haven’t liked the work that he’s done there. The team really isn’t much better off. I think Sully will do a great job. He seems like a winner and not the armchair GM Chayka was!!!

hard to believe there was no call on this play. also hard to believe reaves would pull this stunt in an exhibition game. hopefully he gets a few games suspension.

I hope they send his ass home, but I'm sure he'll miss the round robin or something ridiculous

Schmaltz was already engaged and therefor vulnerable,Reaves makes an effort to go up high and this results in a clear hit to the head. If we don't see five minimum,we oughta just throw the rules away.

Reaves had his head up and time to avoid that hit,he targeted the head instead. Well I guess it ain't a Blues player so it ain't egregious. What do teams do if on-ice officials refuse to call an obvious and successful attempt to injure and then the DPS looks at in damming slo-mo and says "we're good"........get more Lil dudes is the correct answer! Maybe have someone on the roster who'd immediately target the Knights most skilled player with a high hit would sit well with me but we'll never see a player like that again......mark my words.

I thought it was a penalty, but definitely not suspension worthy. It wasn’t Reaves hardest hit and he laid up a bit there. Slo Mo is very damning. I thought it was a 2 minute for charging. Definitely a penalty, but not suspension worthy!!!

Definitely a penalty, but not suspension worthy!!! I would disagree in that Reeves is already a repeat offender and not suspending him just encourages him. imo.
