Power was a given, now it’ll get interesting. I’m gonna groan at #11 if there’s a player there we really wanted.

I'm absolutely, 100% done with Stan Bowman after this disaster of a move. I'm basically hoping now that the brass removes their heads from their asses soon enough to hire Draper before someone else does...

Mctavish going #3, interesting. Knew he wouldn’t last. There’s bound to be a lot of divergence from the preview rankings.

I guess LA kept their pick, Clarke at 8 is a good pick for them.
I really hope Stan is trying to get a pick in the upper 1st.
And if the Hawks get the 1st or 2nd overall pick in 2022 the BJs get the Hawks 1st in 2023, should've made it top3 but it's better than nothing.

There has to be teams some of these kids are a bit disappointed to go to when they hear their name called.

So, Jones had one year left, but the reports are that the Hawks gave him an 8 year extension. So, is he signed for a total of 9 years (the last one on his current contract plus 8 more), or was the last year of his current contract scratched and he gets a total of 8 starting this fall?

Ottawa with a huge reach...
I would have taken Lucuis at 12, personally.

Not much. The Hawks have a very low tier prospect pipeline, hence all the Euro dartboard moves. Losing these latest draft picks is going to reverberate for a long time. By the time they win again there’s a good chance I won’t remember it an hour later.

The weakness of the AHL prospects and forwards in general in the system was overshadowed the last 2-3 years by the perceived quality of the 1st round D prospects but we now find Jokiharju and Boqvist traded and Beaudin and Mitchell falling further down the depth chart with every move. Is there ANY way SB can overpay Z too after breaking the bank with Jones?

How he ever got here at all is baffling.

The dman shouldn't go past the faceoff dot, that's when the winger and/or center should take over. I like Z and if he'll sign for 4+ million per for 3yrs do it, if not, arbitration will favor the Hawks.
