yeah, the schilling of tickets is annoying. the schilling of how good of a job was done in the off season and how awesome the folks in charge were on the radio by ole Colby during game one was even worse... Oh man, I really don't want to hear that guy call a game. He's getting annoying just on the intermission shows.

That reminds me of a joke if I can lighten the mood a bit...... Who's the most popular guy at the nudist colony? The guy who can carry two cups of coffee and six donuts......who's the most popular gal? The gal who eats the last two donuts! To be objective so far,the team has to be better than this or at least closer to what we see in the second half of games. I don't know what to make of the recent habit of giving up a goal before people even have a chance to sit down but that has to be the first thing addressed I'd think.

I just read an article on the athletic about how Colliton may have lost the Hawks fans, but not the room.
Sometimes they lost stupid shit to appease Scambo. Of course he hasn’t lost the room. It’s a new season and half of the room is new. It doesn’t matter anyways, what he’s doing isn’t working. I didn’t think it would work out the best. But I didn’t even think it was this bad. Sure they could pull together and rattle off a few wins. I just don’t think it matters as professional coaches chew his system apart.
When the Hawks win under JC. It seems they ditch the system he has and all is well. Then he says they got away from their defensive responsibilities and they need to be better. They go back to his stupid style and fail. It’s better to just run and gun and be exciting. Worry about defense at a later date. At least they would make the playoffs!!!

The article is rather stupid. Toews won’t say much anyways. Winning cures all ills. But if the winning continues with a disappearing act. He’s gonna get what’s coming!!!

Nov 9th Hoss will be in Chicago for a legacy night, hopefully after he officially retires he'll be hired on with the Hawks in some capacity. Coach or GM would be nice.

Too lazy to go through the process of posting a screenshot, but tickets for the home opener are available for as little as $19 in the secondary market....the next 5 games at home range from $14-16....I know these are probably SRO, but still...

That was the reason for the about face on the rebuild and im sure a good amount of the resale are brokers who will not be re uping next year.

I can't say I feel at all bad for them, though... yet another reason why JV isn't going to last much longer if thi go don't turn around realllllll quick...

My favorite player, and it's on my birthday! I'll be raising a glass to the Hoss on that day.

You know what? I have given some thought to the idea of which player from "the Dynasty" team would leave the largest hole in my heart. Toews was certainly up there. Kane? Awesome talent, but not exactly "hole in my heart" material. Sharpie? Sorta, but I was given the opportunity to sense loss before his return and I got over it. Seabs? Again, sorta in that Tazer category, but not quite.
I came to the conclusion that Marian Hossa is "that guy" for me. Seriously. First of all, I didn't see it coming when it came. So, I had a grieving process to get over as if he died or something. Still, even after the grieving process--and this is important to note--I still have a gaping hole in my heart.
If I had to host a dinner party for ANY Blackhawk, former or present, (assuming any of the nonliving could come back to life), I would instantly make that guy Hoss.

Just heard that Colliton "bag skated" the team this morning.
I'm not sure I know what to make of it. They probably deserved it, but who "bag skates" the coach?

Ditto. Plus parking now costs more then the tix. Parking for so many venues seems absolutely over-the-top for me. Even if my wife is in surgery for something in Seattle, there's no such thing as a waiver for patients, it still costs us almost $30.00 in Seattle. As my paternal grandfather used to say consistently "it's a racket."

No doubt Big Hoss was a huge part of the 'glue' that put the team over the top and held things together but no mention of Dunks? Don't look now but the 'room' seems to have crumbled this year and Keith's presence is really the only one missing from last year. It's also only 14 months since Crawford was dam near spectacular in the bubble with goaltending that seems out of reach now on a team that was worse than this one on paper. Kicking CC to the curb might have kicked a few guys in the guts........all these things add up.

Good call Bob, and don't get me wrong, DK deserves huge accolades. My choice of Hoss also involves his personality and humanness, stuff that makes one LOVE a player in a bona fide way. DK, for all his good traits even as a "glue" as you stated, just doesn't have it as Hoss did. I even thought about the fact that I had forgotten to mention him, but felt ok with it for these reasons (not to mention laziness).

I'm sure your personal preference would be shared by MANY Hawks fans and 'Big Papa Pump' is one of my all time favorite Hawks too. With what's goin' on now,I was thinking along the lines of which more recent cup winner's departure has affected THIS team. Hoss,Hammer and Sharpie have all been gone for a while without anything resembling a replacement for Hoss and Hammer.......it could be argued D-Cat has filled Sharpie's shoes nicely though.

They probably deserved it, but who "bag skates" the coach? who bag skates the Wirtz's? how about Rocky the Savior steps up and does something again? or does he feel like he wants to be his father now? shit, even dollar Bill would've done something by now...

Correct, he’d take them off television to “protect” the season’s reservation holders. Especially with declining attendance. At least Rocky is getting TV revenue (I’m guessing) that didn’t exist in the 1960s and 1970s.

How the hell does JC have a job! This fucking system is TRASH, we should not be losing games like this. I've played hockey my entire life, I have never seen such a stupid system in my life, the way they are playing 5 on 5 is a joke... Anyways, just super frustrating to watch.

I've played hockey my entire life, I have never seen such a stupid system in my life, the way they are playing 5 on 5 is a joke... Anyways, just super frustrating to watch. It makes no sense, I've been playing most of my life as well and played D for the majority of it, this system is extremely stupid and the guys look confused. Gus usually looks lost but now he's worse, they've won zero games since he was sighed. Their last preseason game they looked good, then game 1 JC changes all the D lines and puts de Haan with Jones, Stillman on the 3rd pair with Mitchell, and McCabe with Murphy. Why have the same pairs most of camp then change game 1? That threw out the chemistry built in preseason and with his system plus bad line decisions no wonder this team is a mess and looks lost. Colliton was Stans pick, he needs to go as well. 2 seasons in a row they broke the franchise record for longest start without a lead, set the league record this season, that alone should get him fired. With the moves made and money spent theirs no way they should be 31st in goals against (4.50 🤦♂️) and 28th in goals for (2.13).
