How the hell does JC have a job! This fucking system is TRASH, we should not be losing games like this. I've played hockey my entire life, I have never seen such a stupid system in my life, the way they are playing 5 on 5 is a joke... Anyways, just super frustrating to watch. It makes no sense, I've been playing most of my life as well and played D for the majority of it, this system is extremely stupid and the guys look confused. Gus usually looks lost but now he's worse, they've won zero games since he was sighed. Their last preseason game they looked good, then game 1 JC changes all the D lines and puts de Haan with Jones, Stillman on the 3rd pair with Mitchell, and McCabe with Murphy. Why have the same pairs most of camp then change game 1? That threw out the chemistry built in preseason and with his system plus bad line decisions no wonder this team is a mess and looks lost. Colliton was Stans pick, he needs to go as well. 2 seasons in a row they broke the franchise record for longest start without a lead, set the league record this season, that alone should get him fired. With the moves made and money spent theirs no way they should be 31st in goals against (4.50 🤦‍♂️) and 28th in goals for (2.13). Good that 32nd team came to be!!! |

Gotta feel bad for Flower here. Guy comes here looking for some redemption after his team basically gave him away. Now this team is in a horrible position and looking to get worse. I know he’s owed 7 million. Or probably just under that now. So I doubt he walks away from that. But does he want out? Maybe the Hawks can send him back to Vegas, and retain half? Get a first rounder.
I’d seriously look into trading Toews and Kane and retain Half. Maybe the Rags give up Lafreniere and the Hawks can take back a bad contract from them. If Toews was at 5.25. I think his value and experience would be welcomed on a team like Colorado. Also take back a bad contract like Kadri and it’s a wash. Hawks get Byram.
At this point I keep Strome and Dcat. I trade away Kubalik while he has great value. Get a good young player or a first rounder for him.
My goal would be to now get some decent young kids to take advantage of Seth Jones career before it’s too late. My nucleus would be Dcat, Dach, Lafreniere, Strome, Byram, Jones, Rychel, Entwhistle, Hagel, hopefully the D can be rounded out with a couple other prospects we have now or will get in the draft. I’d keep Lankinen for now.
But the team needs to be rebuilt now before all assets are gone and you end up taking the 8-10’year route. We have more than enough assets to take full advantage of this. This is why we need a good GM in here with a solid vision.
Lastly. Why would Toews and Kane agree to this? He has they’ve got not much choice. And getting out of town is for the best. Beach will try and smear their legacy if he doesn’t get his payday. It’s best they go to new teams that can shield them from this shit, and the team is actually a team.
I believe this is actually doable. Both the Rags and the Avs are looking for a Cup here real soon, and will have to make sacrifices to get there!!!

I don't think anyone touches Toews, even with half retained. next season, maybe. Kane, if he can get healthy, probably could be traded and if money was retained for this year and next, they might get a first for him. otherwise, I don't think you move any of the younger guys until a new set of eyes are in place. let the next GM deal guys. hopefully they will have a hockey ops prez within the next couple months and then a new GM before the end of the season so they can make moves prior to the draft.
man, we better win the lotto, though, or that Jones trade is gonna be even worse than it already is...

Jones is on a team that will provide him with a bottom pair D-man as a partner on a nightly basis.......take your pick. I asked who the other top pair D-man would be when Jones was acquired because I didn't see one,I still don't and he struggles with the same system everyone else does. He might need more than nine games to settle in and he is putting up points on a team that barely scores. I wonder if he isn't kicking himself for not waiting till next summer when he could have had a choice of a few teams to go to after seeing things here. |

Skate away is right,Betteman had another interview today and he had to add "ownership was unaware" and he wasn't even asked. I know a long time NHL family owned team holds a lot of influence but I never knew how much. Why is it only Toews and Kane get this disgraced bullshit? No one is getting Johnny's C. I have not hear one person say Beach told Johnny what happened. Kane tonight addressed his comments about Hawks old brass tonight saying he had never been treated badly by them but was sorry that it came off insensitive. Johnny has looked good so far Im sure he could get more then a 3rd. But they need a president,GM , and some direction before they start looking into that. |

But even Marian Hossa chooses his words carefully when he says "Now that I've been made aware of the seriousness of Kyle's abuse" and "I was unaware of the details disclosed in the report" and once again....I believe him. Like other players though,Hossa says he didn't know the 'seriousness and the details' until recently,this doesn't mean that he too didn't hear rumors and innuendo at the time.......if he did,what does he do with rumor and innuendo? second off,I don't believe Rocky.......Prince Danial wasn't connected with the team then so what he knew doesn't matter..... I think the optics of the owner and ast GM getting off 'scott free' look bad. The optics of the AC who heard the allegations being lionized now look bad. The optics of the HR director who offered the 'resign or we investigate' deal remaining un-named and possibly still employed(how do we know)look bad. The optics of an admitted player abuser remaining behind the Wurtz's bench look real bad. Rocky needs a new Optician! |

I saw that last night, that they had postponed it. I'm sure Hoss was onboard, why would he want to come here to have to deal with this shit...
I also saw Kane revised his previous statements and expressed regret for his comments on Bowman the other day... I wonder if we will see Toews do the same here soon.

I wonder if McD eventually speaks up and sewers Wirtz and Scambo?
I’m starting to feel that the best way forward is to see the Wirtz’s sell the team and let a fresh set of eyes remake the franchise!!!

yeah NO WAY Rocky didn't know. no. fucking. way. but, sure, let's jump all over the players for not doing more cuz "they all knew" and not the billionaire that owns the team and was basically the face of the franchise that season AND THE GUY who absolutely could have done something about it... makes sense...
for clarification, I am not saying the above about anyone here, but about the comment sections and twitter feeds all over the internet that seem to want to destroy Toews and Kane but make no mention of Wirtz...

Bob, I fully agree. There’s many bad “optics” here and Rocky made sure he got off free. I wonder if McD eventually speaks up and sewers Wirtz and Scambo? I’m starting to feel that the best way forward is to see the Wirtz’s sell the team and let a fresh set of eyes remake the franchise!!! none of them are going to say shit about The Family. none of them. they are taken care of for life. if they say anything, it will be only to corroborate the idea that Rocky didn't know. no one is going to make them sell the team. this could happen to any other owner in the league. they will do their very bestest to help the Wirtz's get past this unscathed as quickly as possible. one other note, this time for Chevy. the idea of not punishing him because he had limited knowledge or wasn't in a position to do anything about it and was under the impression that his superiors would handle it gives the players an out here, as they can claim the same thing. this closes that loop and makes those that have been punished already the only ones that require punishment, saving the league and the team from having to do more, despite what the outcry might be... plus, the Jets aren't doing too swell thus far, they can just wait until the end of the season and boot his ass for team failure, should that continue to be the case. |

I agree gents. This thing screams of coverups and protections. It also screams of fraudulent claims and hookers.
I sure hope this gets to see the light of day in court. I know it won’t, but I’d live to see him answer questions about his night out with the other caulksucker. I’d love to see Scambo, Wirtz, and McD take the stand too.
Now the players get hammered for this. I think this is stupid at best. This whole thing sucks. I hope the media stops with the gawd damn let’s promote the so called victim and make them a hero type thing.
When the F*** did sticking up for yourself make you a hero? Vincent brought this up and they relinquished him to the AHL. But he shut his mouth after. There are no hero’s here. Unfortunately!!!

just wanted to give a shout out to one Mr. bigbarn27 here for hooking me up with a 35 patch that he got for me at a recent home game!
just a reminder here that while we all may not agree about everything and come from different walks of life, we are all Blackhawks fans and there are lots of good folks around these parts!

IF all these people had done something different all this never happens now. Like when Kaner had the taxi driver thing, the police were involved before the Hawks were. Also the girl "rape" thing the police involved first. That's why I have said Kyle should have gone to the police first and I believe the Hawks would have sided with him if he was truthful. Much like they did with Kane when the world wanted Kane kicked out of the game and life in prison. Just my take on it. |
