pretrial arguments have begun finally but the jury trial is not slated to begin until september of 2025! man...this shit goes slow.

article also mentions formenton has retired from hockey and is in the construction business. mcleod and dube are in the KHL, while foote and hart aren't playing but still training.

From what I’ve heard. My buddy is from London originally and close to the Hunters and that hockey community. I don’t think they want to pick a jury when the case is fresh. I think they want it to die down, and then pick a jury. Right now an argument can be made for blood. So I believe this is the reason for the lengthy trial date.

I understand the defense wanting to drag this thing out. But I think it’d be best for all to get this done and move on!!!

almost 7 years from the alleged assault in june of 2018 to the trial date of april 22, 2025.
