Hardman and Galvas to Hogs. bad luck/timing for hardman. maybe we've seen all we're going to see out of him but i was keen on seeing him in a couple of pre-season games. Agreed, he had a strong finish with Hogs last year and showed some skill and touch around the net along with his physical aspect of his game. I recall some nice hands on several shootout goals as well.

GT, sketchy stats are right. It's amazing how the two teams scored a goal apiece without a single shot on goal. I'll fill in the shots on goal: Busdeker - 4 Crevier - 3 Gust - 2 Reichel - 2 Slavin -2 Guttman - 2 Teply - 2 Gicewiz - 1 Phillips - 1 Clendenning - 1 Watson - 1 Perrot - 1 Pour - 1 Wilson - 1 I assume Stauber will be in net for tonight's game since it's the only other preseason game they'll play.

At least the Hogs got past regulation both games, even though game 1 took Busdeker scoring with 14secs left.
Hogs goalies and D will be the bright spot this season.
Reichel, Teply, and Sikura have their work cut out for them, hopefully guys like Slavin, Buzz, Hardman, have good seasons on the scoresheet.

Will he go to Indy, since Stauber and Soderblom are the two G's in Rockford.? From what I could find, Wells has spent the last four seasons between the AHL and the ECHL. I assume Indy is where Weeks will be also.

As for Stauber and Weeks, I thought Weeks looked better in the preseason but he'll most likely be in Indy as well. Next season let Commesso be the guy in Rockford with Soderblom in Chicago. Hopefully big Basse has a good season and joins the fold as well, he's more of a long term project so he'll probably be in Indy.

nice comeback win for the hogs. trailing 3-0 going into the 3rd, they came away with a 5-4 win in o/t. brett seney scored in o/t, lukas reichel with 1g, 2a and luke philp had a gordie howe hattrick with 2g, 1a and a fighting major. he actually fought kristian reichel who scored for the moose. he is a czech but is lukas' cousin. nice goal by lukas here. game winner. | American Hockey League Game #20 Rockford 5 at Manitoba 4 Canada Life Centre Oct 15, 2022 | Referee: | Conor O’Donnell (41) Liam Maaskant (62) | Linespersons: | Josh Miko (96) Darrell Surminski (88) | |

Slavin out there for Manitoba’s first 3 goals?

Winnipeg had 42 shots so Soderblom was still over .900, .905 actually.
I'd rather see Reichel scoring and getting points in Rockford than struggling in Chicago, smart move sending him back.
And nice to see Beaudin get the primary assist on the first goal, even if he doesn't play in Chicago, being productive in Rockford increases his trade value.

I just watched the full highlights, yeah that backhand pass was a beauty. And Soderblom didn't have a chance on 3 of the 4, 1st was a screened point shot, Slavin lost the dman, then there was 2 redirected goals, one off of Clendenings skate. But Adam made up for it with the net empty, nice backhand dish to Reichel who found Philp in front for the tip.

His first pro game. First pro game and he was flat footed trying to bat the puck down, he's a smart dman, he'll learn. But yeah it happens to NHL dmen. Crevier always had good agility, especially for his size, his top speed has improved since he was drafted but it still needs work. I'm looking forward to watching him learn the AHL.

Question: I see Brad Lambert scored for the Moose. He was the 30th overall pick in the last entry draft and will be 19 in December. I thought you cannot play in the AHL until you are 20. is it due to the fact he played in Finland and not in Canadian Juniors?

Two things…I wish the AHL would add TOI to their stat sheets. And at least the Hogs look competitive so far this year when it comes to shots. They seemed to be heavily outshot most games last year.

Question: I see Brad Lambert scored for the Moose. He was the 30th overall pick in the last entry draft and will be 19 in December. I thought you cannot play in the AHL until you are 20. is it due to the fact he played in Finland and not in Canadian Juniors? He hasn't played in Canada since 2015, so yeah CHL rules don't apply. Thanks OTH and Tincup. Does anyone know what/why the rationale is for this 20 year old rule with juniors? I know there is some value to go back to juniors, but if you completely dominate, from a development and growth the AHL would be better, right? You basically learn to be a pro, acclimate yourself to the NHL parent team system, assuming they would play similar. The staff can monitor you (weight training, nutrition, etc.) and access would be much easier.

I don't understand why Soderblom played in back to back games, Stauber should've got the start.
Yes they got shutout and Reichels line was -4 each, but maybe Stauber being well rested could've kept it closer.
