He says “rips” but I saw “flips”, an easy looking goal on Askarov.
Definitely didn't rip it. More like a bags type toss.

Like his patience on this one waiting for goalie to commit. He has a nice touch. He still could use some more physical maturing - strength - from what I saw against NJ.

What I did see from him was a couple of times he used speed to drive deep and try to turn the dman, something the team doesn’t do enough of.

He’s been playing hockey for many years and is fully aware of the physicality of the game. But I also have visions of a Trouba lining him up or having to go into the boards with Gudas on his back. But I admit it’s silly because he’s dealing with physical d-men now. And he may have that elusive knack that Kane and Panarin have of not taking the full brunt of body checks.

Your last sentence was exactly what I was thinking before I even read it! I still wouldn't mind seeing Reichel get a dozen or so games with K&T before/if they go,there are some things learned better from playing with Kane than from watching Kane. I watch Panarin and DeBrincat, like Kane........now both rarely absorb the full brunt of a hit. Good on-ice vision can and has to be utilized to take a quick look to avoid the brunt of an oncoming checker for a smaller, offensive player and it often only takes turning away at the last moment to avoid the worst of it. Keith rarely got blasted too.

He needs to compete more on the physical side of things hogs he can get reps doing that. I dont know where he lands in 3 years maybe he is just a Versteeg or maybe he is more just glad KD is taking it slow.

So what do you think? I kinda like them. Thought it was derogatory until I looked it up but even as a tongue in cheek homage it’s cool. Could open up an entire new third jersey format for cities with nicknames? What are Chicago’s nicknames?

What are Chicago’s nicknames? i never knew rockford was the "screw capital of the nation" but now i do. chicago has many nicknames but "second city" could be adapted to "second last city" to make it a bit more current. "the windy city" would work as well, because if you suck and blow hard enough simultaneously, it's bound to get a bit windy. i like those jerseys as well.

There’s a promo film to show it…Rockford handles their PR really well. Makes me want some merch.

LR aside,I just thought in general,a 6' 185lb,1st round pick who's goin' on 21 and has shown PpG ability so far in the 'A' through last and this year would benefit from a stint with K&T,just to see how he responds......young players can develop in the big league too. Three years would be a disappointing developmental time-frame considering how well he's played in Rockford........comparisons to Kurashev are disappointing too IMO.

Doesn't sound like you're done nit-picking lol Reichel turns 21 in May and after 2 seasons in Rockford he should be ready next season, plus Rockford is playing really well so why subject him to losing in Chicago? Sure playing with 19&88 would help him but he's playing in all situations for the Hogs and learning a lot down there. As for the Kurashev comparison, it was just a time-line but there's a reason Reichel was a 1st rounder and Kurashev a 4th, I don't see any comparisons.

I was complementary of the player and thought it was something worth chatting about.................guess it's not appreciated.

Is it just me thinking that Marco Rossi is going to be a pain in our ass for a long time? a little surprised he didn't stick in minny this year after he did pretty well during the pre-season. I'm guessing he will be in St Paul full time starting next fall, at the latest.

Yikes! Or should I say “ouch”! Sucks for him, don’t know how he hurt it. He’s definitely one of the better prospects on defence. But since Roos went down Crevier has been sitting so here’s an opportunity for him to get back in and show why he should be the mirror of Vlasic. I’m hoping the 6’6” lefty Vlasic and the 6’8” righty Crevier someday become the ultimate shutdown team.
