This is a good opportunity for Sens to have a big game. They need it and it would help the Hawks to have Sens catch fire and elevate themselves in the standings. So much for the fire... Devils burnt the sens to the ground.

Wasn't to be and it wasn't another tough, one goal loss either. No excuses this far in but MY GOD,it looks like NJ has 6 or 7 guys out there at times!LOL! The Sens were able to take NJ to OT last week and somehow hand the Bruins one of their only two losses last month........hard to figure. One helper for Hischier,Hughes and Hamiliton are held off the scoresheet completely and the Devils still pot five.....four 5 on 5. Fast to the puck in both ends, solid defensively and well coached........they go for THIRTEEN straight Monday night at home vs the Oil.

It's looking like they expect to be great, but looking each other to be the one to do it. Then nobody is doing anything. Lots of standing and puck watching. Where have we seen this before? HMMM

The kid's a F'n beast @23,two inches taller,20lbs heavier than his older brother and the MORE physical of the two w/o all the D-baggery. Brady has 1054 hits and 22 fights in 300 games and Matthew has 596 hits and 15 fights in 464 games. Matthew has the better offensive numbers, .359GpG/.91PpG vs .336GpG/.733PpG BUT Matthew's played with better players and Brady plays a lot of center, winning 54% of his draws this year and wears the 'C' proudly. Seven days a week and twice on Sunday!

I don't know if the young team's turned it around but they're definitely playing better with their top D-pair back in the lineup.....

Good road effort in Dallas after a bad one at home but let the lead slip away with 5mins left and the OT winner with 29 seconds left after Ottinger made a few OT dandies. If they ever learn how to win, they might be competitive, they need another reliable veteran in that lineup.

Debrincat with a couple goals last night, the second was a nice redirect. It's still tough seeing him in another jersey but we have Korchinski to look forward to, plus Ludwinski.

Hockey players, toughest in any sport, including football. Hockey players are my favorite athletes too but take a look at the average length of career and the average injury report after every NFL game compared to any other sport. The average NFL team loses 1.33 players to injury EVERY game.........it's a tough business.

My affection for hockey players is their ability to play through any type of injury or pain and leave it all of the ice. That is what I admire most. I know here are examples in football with taking the shot or freezing a body part to get on the field so not diminishing their efforts. Just feel that hockey players because they love the game and their teammates try that little harder to get back as quickly as they can.

Nice win with Stutzle,Mott and Joesph all out and Norris yet to return, having your #1 D-man in the lineup makes a lotta difference(Chabot eats HUGE minutes)and so will #2 Zub when he gets back. Three straight and 7-2-1 over their last ten has built confidence, they might make a run if they can get everybody back and they Still gotta make a run at Chychrun too.
DeBrincat still has to pick up his goal pace but the kid plays a complete game and drives offense, playing with Patrick Kane was REAL good for him.......

I thought the inordinate amount of close losses would turn as the young team developed chemistry,Norris' absence has given 22yro Shane Pinto quite the opportunity and 23yro Norris'(35gls last year) return later in the season gives DJ a LOT of talented options. What a solid job 35yro Brassard's done filling in for 20yro Stutzle(27pts in his first 28gms)......Stutzel,Joseph and Zub all on track to return shortly,Motte returned yesterday and scored a shorty to put the game away......
Three more apples for birthday boy yesterday and two 10-bell saves from Husso or he really fills up the score sheet.....

Disappointing first 40 minutes, down 3-0 and outshot 20-12 in Minnie but a very encouraging final 20,outshooting the Wild 16-3 and making it 3-2 before giving up another EN goal. Kids better start on time up in the 'Peg' tomorrow night.

Was just reading this! They are having more fun than our local team is for sure. But they have had the several years of high picks and are what - maybe 3 or 4 years ahead?
