long shot scenario but the last game of the season is against philly, who are currently 7th worst. i reckon it would be a pretty interesting game if we were both tied in the standings for last place and the game was a "loser take all" situation. And if the Hawks pull off the loss and get the best lotto odds and win the lotto I'm sure getting Bedard will bring in a lot of fans. The kid is on a 27gm point streak with 27g-37a, he'd look great in a Hawks jersey. Especially with Korchinski flying up the ice dishing him the puck. especially if korchinski edged out bedard in a 2 man race for the calder. i know, i know...best lay down to have that dream. : ) |

It seems to me we've seen quite a few open ice hits this year that sent puck handlers flying. Check this one out.....
Can't get this link to work...sorry. It shows a hit on Slafkovsky where the player throwing the check bounces off.

The one thing to hang our Hawks hats on is that the team is this bad by design. I know it sucks. It really does, but it’ll be good to see some awesome players here in a year or two. We all know there’s a plan. I for one am happy to see a real plan for once. We haven’t seen a clear plan for some time. So it sucks to watch this train crash. But it is by design and it’s gotta be done!!!

But I could understand if they did. This team may only win 4-5 games the whole year. Do they want to be that bad? It’s very tough to bring in a kid like Bedard and put him on a team with no one to play with. Hopefully they’re keeping a keen eye on free agency etc. cuz you can’t bring in a kid like that and have absolutely nothing to play with. This is why trading and re-signing Toews and Kane may not be that bad of an idea!!! |

I'd like to see that, if you can get them to agree. I also note that they signed several free agents this past year, and turned a few of them for a net gain. Also, they have plenty of money to sign more free agents in the coming year..

i've always like J.K.'s game but one of the best defensive forwards in the league? not sure about that one.
anyways, might be a good depth player for a contending team. maybe get a 4th rounder for him?
i'd be happy to keep him as well.

He's good defensively but yeah, best, no way. He's bad with the puck, fumbling dump ins, receiving and making passes, and sometimes getting shots off. He's got size, good skater, and hard shot but I'd highlight those defensive stats and dangle them to gms. A 4th would be great. |

I really like Jujhar and respect him but as you guys point out he’s a borderline NHLer in terms of skill level. There are a couple others that fit in that realm too - hence the #32 rank.

This seems to be an older demographic here, how many of us were wearing diapers when they were this uncompetitive as a team? Let’s hope at the very least we’re not back wearing them again when they finally become relevant again. |
