No idea, not mentioned in the summary on the Rockford site. Seemed to be some bad blood though. Wasn’t L’Heureux the player suspended a couple of months ago for punching Dach from behind? Didn’t want much of Strand. I thought it happened in this game but that explains it. Glad he did it for Dach and laid a beat down. Dach is a big boy who is going to have to play a physical game to make it. I would have preferred he had handled that himself, win or lose. Two more games against Milwaukee to go, anything can happen. |

King is a good sized guy, maybe they’re expecting more of the same against the Admirals tonight. Be a fun game to watch I think.

Yeah - their roster hasn't hit the level of "depleted" but certainly missing some key players including 2 of their top-4 d-men with Allan injured and EDM up with the Hawks. Missing Guttman is probably their biggest loss with the way he was playing over the past month+. I wonder if Reichel will join the team after Hawks season ends - correct me if I[m wrong but I think he's eligible for the playoffs. |

They are 1-1 in the second right now against the division leading Admirals. Guttman definitely could have helped, I think they are 0-5 on the PP. Their best six defensemen if all were available would be EDM, Allan, Crevier, Philips, Kaiser and Roos. That’s not a bad AHL d- corps. |

First star Stauber earned that with the Hogs outshot 16-5 in the third. Pitlick has been a great pickup by the Hawks, marginal NHL’er but good at this level. Former Nashville pick, wonder if he plays so well against their farm due to that. |

Hogs won 5-2. Nice seeing Luypen work his way from 4C to 2C and him and Dach have instant chemistry.
Dach with 1g-2a, Luypen with 1g-1a.
Hogs MVP and leading scorer, Seney, had 1g-1a.
Commesso stopped 21 of 23.
Rannta was in net for Chicago and gave up 4 goals.

Ludwinski didn't get a point on Dachs goal, GWG, but he made two great plays, lifted the stick of the defender covering Dach, so he couldn't get his stick on the puck, then drove to the net and disrupted the goalie. Nice work by Luypen to get the puck out of the zone to create a 2 on 0 with an empty net, and he passed it to Dach, who gave it back to Luypen. And two huge saves by Commesso on Grimaldi with a clear breakaway with less than 5sec left in the 2nd, kept it 4-2. |

Hawks being decimated with injuries hurt both teams, it forced KD to make some minor moves that are looking good now. Pitlick is playing great with Seney and getting Megna helped the Hawks finish second worst and kept guys like Kaiser in the minors, which really helped his game. Kaiser only made a couple unforced turnovers his last call up to the Hawks, he used to have a couple a game before he was first sent down. And he looks far more confident, great pass to spring Pitlick. He was told to use his speed with the puck more to create separation, whereas before he'd panic if he was pressured and gave the puck away. Now he takes a couple strides and has a look. It's great when players are told what to work on then seeing them work on it and improving. |

Milwaukee will be a tough out if the Hogs get that far. Good for Teply to grab a couple.
Sounds like Kaiser got hurt in a fight but I can’t find much on it.
