Dach recalled after just 3 games, I would have let him finish the full 2 weeks there.

Blackhawks recalled defenseman prospect Adam Boqvist from the Rockford.
Let's see how this goes...

Almost certain some one will be traded soon if he stays.

Stan must have really been impressed with the goal Boqvist scored. I hope AB does well but I'm not going to hold my breath; though I will cross my fingers. His only pro experience has been the handful games Rockford has played so far this season and didn't AB miss a couple of those due to injury? It will be interesting to see how he does; we will at least find out how ready or how far away Boqvist is. This is assuming he gets a decent amount of playing time and isn't assigned Perlini's spot on the bench.

He’s trying soooo hard to make his worth look more than it is. A fraud will always be just that. He has no clue about the sport of hockey. His dad wasn’t much better. Scotty only coached great teams, when he coached shitty teams like the Blues and Sabres, he was a less than stellar coach. His son is the same. Give him a team full of Hall of Famers and he’ll ruin it!!!

With Boqvist coming up, still think it's for a few games, i believe they're shopping either De Haan or Maatta.
Right now with the way Gusty is playing he can't get a good return pick. 3rd or 4th rounder at best.
Murphy is off the table with his recent rash of injuries last season back and this season groin injuries.

Hi guys and gals. Long time Hawks fan. Hate to see what is happening to the team and organization. Dach looks decent but needs more experience before becoming an effective NHL player. Boqvist too, and they need more muscle on their frames. Otherwise they are both going to get hurt. Gus should be assigned to the wing. Seabrook cannot sit on the bench, but his minutes should be reduced. He is still an effective player if used judiciously. The coach and GM should be politely shown the door. Toews and Kane are disengaged, Saader is going to burn out as well. This season is lost, I am afraid, but maybe they can move in a positive direction moving forward. I hope.

I know we just have to wait and see but what if Dach should hit the wall after a while and start to sputter and not really show much progress. I don't think this is unusual for young players. Does he get Perlini's spot on the bench for a while, which really won't help his development. I assume juniors and Rockford are now both out of the question.

I still hope they trade Gus anyways. Should've been done 3 or 4 months ago though.

Hopefully, the Hawks will become a more interesting team with Boqvist. Boqvist made some plays in the preseason that could bring a franchise back from the dead, Dach almost scored some goals that could've done that as well. Let's hope they click like they did in the summer and spark this team. Getting rid of Gus would also be a spark. It's pretty bad when I can hear Kane swearing at him like the 2nd period vs the Preds after a great PK, Kane gained the zone and he passed it back to the RD but Gus took off to the middle of the slot and Kane said "where the f*ck are you going".

Jimmy Greenfield of the Chicago Tribune is saying Gus should be traded if Boqvist stays up, that's what a lot of us thought in the summer considering there was a few dmen that had a shot in camp, plus his trade value was pretty high.
Boqvist looks ready to play full time and replace Gus, he almost had an OT winner in his first game then sniped a beauty in game 2. Plus he's better positionally and makes better decisions with the puck, especially in his own zone.
👋 bye Gus.

Like I been saying all year, they seem to stand around and wait for Kaner or someone else to make the play. They all need to move their feet and skate. There are the guys that do it besides Kaner. So far Kubali and Saader have and now Nyquist also gets it.

The Hawks are in desperate need of d-men who can score. They are dead last in the NHL. Boqvist needs to stay for sure. For the time being though, I'd play Gus over Koekkoek. Anyways, that was a hell of a shot by Boqvist.

Nothing against the rookies but management is treating this team as a rebuild by developing their young talent in the NHL. Dach was drafted third and never believed by NHL insiders as being NHL ready at least not at the time. Boqvist has joined the likes of Morgan Reilly being thrown into a rebuild as a young Dman who to be successful must now learn the hard way.
I guess it will keep them from suffering injury and discourse in the minors, but is playing with the big club going to do anything other than make Stan Bowman appear as though he knows what he's doing.
It's a dog and pony show out there as fans delightfully await the next trinket to be dangled before them so that they have something to cheer for and hang their wishes on.

Maybe Soupy should be coaching the big club let him have the time and learning curves before next season. Colliton doesn't seem to be doing any better and former Dmen tend to make good coaches. He has the teams respect already it might be worth a try. Ok I just sold myself Soupy for coach. lol

Question for you, are you the same OldTimeHawky from Discord? Like it's been said the trade value for Gus is literally in the toilet. Teams like Toronto that are said to be shopping rely much on metrics. Maybe Stevie Y in Detroit would take him for filler but the best return would be a late draft pick. The league knows he doesn't play defense.
