So boys. I know the SC playoffs are still the top topic, but the WC starts today. Four games on the schedule today. The biggest favorites, Slovaks, are starting right away against Germany. Just read that we've haven't beaten germans the last 11 years in the WC. We'll break them today!
Another 3 games are Swiss against Norway, with Swiss being the heavy favorites as well. Evening games will be blockbusters right from the beginning. First one between the hosting country, Czechia, and Finns and the other between Sweden and some greenhorns from USA.
Was not planning to follow games that much. But now my boys are getting older and looks like I'll have 2 small fans cheering together with me.
In case any interesting news pop out over here, I'll pass it through.

bedard was named player of the game.
hagel scored a goal also on a nice forecheck by hagel.
seth has 3 assists in his first 2 games as well and is +1.
vlasic has an assist and is +2 in 2 games.
shevy 1 assist in 1 game, +/- is zero.

bedard's goals today. bedard gooning it up. At first I thought he went after Bedard but I laughed when they showed the reply and saw Connor shove him. He did the same thing in juniors, he doesn't shy away from the rough stuff. |

Morning gents. Been following a couple of games and must say, it surely is visible many many NHL players are involved. I believe it's the highest number the last couple of years... around 100. The opening night game between Czechia and Finland was a beautiful piece of hockey. Especially the overtime. I'm sure the NHL GMs are trying to achieve such action during OT. Man, the swedes are good. Prior to the game, I thought the americans will be flying, but nothing such happenned. I'm sure the americans will find their footing as the tourney will go on, but the Swedes... my top favorites so far. here are the game highlights: youtu.be/274RngmOmQI?feature=sharedThen there were a couple of intersting games during the weekend, but I doubt you're interested in Suiss victory 6-5 over the Austrians  Yesterday, it went full nuts again. US against Slovaks. Unfortunately did not watch the Slovakian victory, but we managed to win 5-4 in OT after US came back after a 4-1 deficit in the third. Each time was very visible during the PPs, not so much in the 5 on 5. But surely is playing a good game. And you know what? Do you know who was the Canada goalie tonight? Some guy called Binnington. 6 goals out of 21 shots.
