That's great news, definitely would've been a kick their if he couldn't play. what! another avatar OTH? oh my gawd. what is that....#7? 6? 8? not my business....but i would like you to decide on 1 avatar....and i'd prefer about 15-20% hot pink if you could. : ) come on....i'm not albertan by birth but i've spent more time there than my home province and i know you albertans aren't indecisive. I would get used to that avatar, it might not be too long before you see our beloved team skating with something similar on their chests.

I hope we what we’ve done works. Cuz this country just can it afford to do a full shut down again. If what we’ve done doesn’t work, and it explodes again. We have some very very difficult decisions to make here. They’ve already been talking about it. I read an article today how every Premier of every Province has penned a letter to the Prime Minister asking to protect the vulnerable and let society return to normal. I don’t know if that’s good or bad. But if a medical facility gets ravaged, anything is possible. The federal government has all but said that they will no longer financially be able to support us. So it looks like society is going back to normal here soon. That’s not my opinion, just what the government’s here have said. So we’ll see soon enough!!!

Returning to something close to normal would be possible if EVERYONE masked up IMO. This doesn't require a N95 or even a surgical mask, just a fairly comfortable cloth face covering and mostly indoors but it seems to much to ask down here. Is it the norm up there?

It doesn’t bother me to do my part and wear a mask. Or even use hand sanitizer. I’m absolutely shocked by some of the folks in the good ole US of A. I think of my US Friends and Family leaders in things like this. The US has always been world leaders in things like this, but this is becoming horrible in the best of days. I don’t want to politicize any of this. As it’s the people that will have to do the heavy lifting and not a political figure. The world needs a strong America. I hope the good folk in America realize this and get it together. I’m pulling for you good people on that side of the river. Edit: it’s actually mandatory to wear a mask in all public buildings. I love how we don’t worry about our rights in times like these. The people here just put their shoulder to the wind and have gotten it done so far!!!

I cannot put into words how infuriating it is that people could just do their part, but won't. that isn't even mentioning how many here stateside STILL do not understand why everyone should be wearing them. as someone who has to wear them for 12-13 hours a day for work, it reallllllllyyyyyy pisses me off that people whine and bitch and refuse to wear them to/from their dammed car when they go out to the grocery store. it really isn't that hard, folks. come on.

I fear that as a society, we’re becoming much to soft. Can’t spank your kid. If you have an opinion it gets squashed due to someone being offended. If you fart in your own bed people think you’re insane and deserve life imprisonment. Yet those same people won’t put a gawd damn mask on. I don’t like it. No doubt there. But I’m not the be all end all here. It’s for the greater good of society and leaders never ask anyone to do something they’re not willing to do themselves. We all need to be leaders. I’m proud of Canadians for accepting this challenge and running it into the end boards. Unfortunately, we have to keep the boarders closed due to the amount of cases on the US side. It’s the best thing for us right now. All my vacations are shot. And my golf trip up in Michigan is more than likely done. It sucks, but we’ll get through, I have hope that the Americans will pull through this. There’s still a lot of great people out there!!!

The first three forwards haven't seen a big league tilt yet and the last two are probably career AHL guys but the young D-men and goaltenders look better than they have in a LONG time.

Hagel's another undersized forward who will play tough and I'm sure most of the team will be happy to allow him to handle those duties single handedly.........we could have a three-way gin game in the quiet room. I find Kurashev has an interesting combination of skill and some size,I'd like to look at him sooner rather than later.

I actually don’t mind Quenneville up. He’s a C/RW with decent size that he uses, good straight ahead speed and doesn’t mind the hard work. I know the numbers weren’t there when he was up but he was horribly miscast. He has some NHL experience and depending on whom he would replace in the lineup (his game is really built for a low minute lower line spot) I’d prefer him and his playoff sized frame over wide eyed inexperience or Sikura. JMO.

With all the mistakes Colliton has apparently made he got this one right? You see nothing because Highmore has nothing,he wouldn't crack most lineups. John Quenneville couldn't crack the lineup on two consecutive bottom feeders,I doubt he's a late bloomer at 24. Colliton's a walking mistake as far as I'm concerned. Q'ville saw 9 games for us and he even saw time on JT's line for some unexplainable reason with 0gls 0pts to show. Hayden saw 43 tilts for his team with a handful of goals and a continued willingness to stick up for teammates as we saw when Gilbert ran somebody. One of these two in the lineup every game and opponents wouldn't be tradin' Dach's ass for a pack of cigarettes every other game.

If you're the OIL,are ya pissed off that you have to 'play into' a PO's that you were already in or are you ecstatic to have a 12.5% shot at the 'Wunderkind' if you lose?

They’ve got all they need, and another pick probably only muddies up their core and finances. The Hawks have massive holes throughout their lineup. If JC is playing kids, we get swept. If he played the vets to no end, we win a game, and the ice time will kill the older players. It’s like he’ll run a 2 line team. Also, his balanced attack bullsht, will get this team embarrassed. With the Oil having home ice for the first 2, Tippet will get McDavids like out against a stupid makeshift 3rd or 4th like and we’ll get slaughtered. Watch how much better Tippet is than JC!!!

After re-watching all 48 cup wins recently,I was reminded what 'chees matches' all of em were and how Q 'check mated' HC after HC......I'm still surprised BB didn't have a stroke! I'm not pickin' the Hawks to win but I see em with a better chance than you do. The Oil have little offensive depth themselves, the Hawks had some success shutting down their best a few times this year,Crawford could be a real wildcard and is better than what they got and.........KANE & TOEWS! Your point about coaching and matchups is well taken though,if JC looks totally out of his league, the 'lucky sperm club', 'Prince Danial and spawn of Scotty'...LOL will point their fingers at the coach and you can bet on that. I still put Kane,Toews and Kubalik out there and scare the shit out of em! Dave Tippet has done a great job, both special teams in the top 5 is impressive and come to think about it......will be hard to overcome.
