Lat night, Misiak was the first star for the second game in a row., He scored his 23rd of the season; it was OT winner. I'm not certain but I think this makes 3 g's in his last three games. Start about 2:50. sidenote: towards the end of the ad, a young kid does the between the legs shot. Alex Pharand scored his 17th of the season. He got rewarded for heading to the net. Start about 2:31. chl.ca/ohl/gamecentre/27147/chl.ca/ohl/gamecentre/27150/

In college, Ryan Greene had two assists in the Hockey East final against their crosstown rival. So Greene had 2 g's and 2 a's in his 2 games over the weekend. On Friday, Aidan Thompson had 2 assists in Denver's semi final game. We know what Nazar did in the Big 10 tournament.
The Frozen Four selection show is tonight on ESPNU at 6:30pm Eastern.
From what I read, all the teams with Blackhawk prospects will get in except for Providence and St. Cloud. Providence got knocked out by an automatic bid in another conference. St. Cloud just didn't do enough. Basse's college career is done. He also did not play in St. Cloud's last 5 games.

Well my tape ended 2 min into OT so I have to tape the replay game to see the rest. I think Nascar is gonna be just fine he can do it all might not be dominating at anyone aspect but hes a hockey player that will be fun to watch whenever he gets up. Still have the same thoughts on the big sparty I would not be upset if Hawks got him.

I thought Nazar played pretty well yesterday - he was more noticeable than he has been recently. Looking forward to see how he does in the tournament - hopefully he can keep up the play we saw yesterday.

I thought he was fair last night but far from dominant. hard to miss him out there on the ice, though. he should've been called for a hook on Brindley in the third after he let him get past him, instead of taking him off the puck harder, but otherwise he seemed to play pretty well. he strikes me as a very safe pick, tbh, vs a very high end guy who has some IFs attached to them.

Yeah could have been called they put away the whistles in the 3rd seen Brindley fly past many a Dman. No panic in his game he does play it safe he makes right decision by taking away options. Offensively he plays well and rarely tries to do to much. And yes I like the safe pick what really slows down a rebuild is missing in the top 15. Now remember I have seen just 3 full games and read a good amount as ER says at times end of day just a guy pecking on a computer who watches to much hockey.

We should find out the CHL playoff pairings pretty soon. We don't have any prospects in the WHL but we have Sam Savoie at Rouyn-Noranda in the QMJHL and a bunch of guys in the OHL - Gavin Hayes at Soo, Martin Misiak at Erie, Paul Ludwinski at Kingston, Alex Pharand at Sudbury, and Nick Lardis at Brantford (word is he should be back from injury in the playoffs).

Also I feel that if the Hawks had gotten their hands on Quinn Hughes, they would a rushed him too and ruined him!!!

Just like TheAthletic, it doesn't show the whole article. But from what I read, his break was good and bad, it was good it happened while at camp so he was able to stay in Chicago to recover. Like Nazar last season, it's awesome he was able to return near the end of the season. Last season Sam was 1pt from being a point per game, now he's 1pt over. That's impressive considering his injury and missing most of the season. Rockfords gonna love him next season.

I can remember seeing one article during the season last year that mentioned his big increase on offense, and I can recall the word "surprising" being used. After a long layoff from his injury, it was great to see Savoie's offense picked up where he left off last season. As you've mentioned, he was a point over in points per game after coming back; 10 g's and 12 a's in 21 gms. After being off that long I would have expected his offense to be a little slower in coming around. I may be wrong but didn't he get a few points in his first few games back? In Rockford next season, I wonder if Savoie will get to play any with his old Gatineau teammate.

With the junior's regular season now ended, four of the Hawks six junior prospects ended up in the PPG Club. I hope they all do well in their playoffs.
Gavin Hayes - 76 pts. in 55 gms. Paul Ludwinski - 69 pts. in 60 gms. Nick Lardis - 50 pts. in 37 gms. Sam Savoie - 22 pts. in 21 gms.
Misiak was in the club earlier in the season but had a post World Juniors slump and ended with 23 g's and 24 a's in 60 gms.

Hopefully Lardis is back from injury so he gets some games in before the season ends. I think it was Eaton that said they expect him back in the playoffs. I watched him a lot before his injury and was really impressed with his speed/quickness and shot. He's still skinny so not ready for the Bigs yet but with his skating and goal scoring ability he could be a top-6 winger for the Hawks in 2-3 years. Big day of hockey watching. Yeah baby! I started off my watching by catching the 3rd period of Kantserov's game. He had an assist but he got that before I tuned in. My takeaway is he is very fast and is on the puck all over the ice. Backchecks and forechecks and hints the puck very well. He plays with a relentless motor - very nice. Oh, and he has good hands too so offense will not be a problem.

Thanks GT We're a long way from being able to assess the Hawks 2023 draft class but there is great promise that it could be the best class the Hawks ever had. Obviously it starts with Bedard but then there is Moore, Gajan, Kantserov, Misiak and Lardis. All of those guys have huge upsides.
