I could say the sun comes up in the F'n east and probably not have you on my side and I'm GOOD with that. T's basically called NCAA hockey players spoiled drug addicts(the posts are there),that might be okay with you but I'll take exception every time. No one's argued the NCAA is a better feeder than the CHL,I've said so many times myself. I just don't settle for personal attacks against young hockey players and I'm disappointed other do. NCAA players are American by a WIDE margin and that's not lost on me. Calling a 19yro kid a bust before he ever gets a chance to play the NHL game is bullshit and somehow Hughes' 7 goals last year is a massive failure but 8 for our guy's a sure trip to the Hof. WTF is that. Bob, I suppose you're right that I've been ... shall we say ... a little acerbic in my replies to your posts lately. Apologies - nothing "internet-personal" - I just seem to be on the other side of your views lately. In any case - I'm glad you're good with it because I think it's pretty silly to get angry or butthurt by some goof (me) on the internet.  But, just to burnish by goof bona fides - the sun doesn't actually come up in the east - the Earth rotates from east to west towards the sun, giving the appearance the sun moves in relation to the Earth ... just sayin ... Let's skip the first name basis shit if that's okay with you.....even if it isn't. Since acerbic seems so well received,I'll go with acerbic too. You don't like my negative stance toward the team and the FO so you feel you should find ways to disagree with me on any and all issues and that's okay with me.......I'll just stay acerbic. I too drank the kool aid when the team was good but all that's left in the pitcher now is a warm mixture of stale kool aid and left over spittle......enjoy......hope it ain't too acerbic. Thanks for blowin up my back n forth with another poster too! |

It was my attempt to lighten the mood a bit before it got to the point it has now gotten to. When I addressed you on a first name basis, it wasn't done from a place of disrespect - it was done to intone friendship as in we're both Hawks fans who can disagree about stuff, even vehemently, and not let it get personal or to the point of getting angry. We're all human with different imperfect personalities. It's very difficult to discern intentions, motivations, biases, and the like on the faceless internet. Mistakes are made and I've made my share and so have others. It's a price I'm willing to pay to have the escapism. |

Lol just realized combined with Nylander this could be almost an entire line out of action for several months to begin the season. 2 guys who need to develop on a team that lacks any kind of depth.
Could be looking at all-time worst record territory this year

not to bang this drum some more here but.....
yet another reason why he should've been given last year in juniors. he would've already played in this tournament and would be gearing up to try and make the Blackhawks right now instead....
hindsight and all that....

Could be looking at all-time worst record territory this year Maybe it’s good to suck for a couple of years. Next year has a defense heavy top end but 2022 is looking to be a monster draft for forwards. Decent positioning sets us up for that rebuild. |

more x-rays probably isn't a good thing..... that's my thoughts too, unfortunately... the way it looked and that he immediately knew something was wrong suggests broken and more... maybe ligament damage as well if that's the case you're looking at potentially 10-16 weeks I think... season starts in 3 weeks and goes roughly 16 weeks, I believe so MAYBE he could return near the end though not sure why you risk it at that point with them likely being in last place |
