maybe @snipeshow98 will prove me wrong but not getting my hopes up.

Yeah, saw that video yesterday, actually it's a little bit depressing, thinking he might be back in the lineup, I'm happy he is doing better, but not really wanting to see him join the team, if he is going to be another piece that doesn't fit

My greatest fear of “Snipeshow98” is that he is like water or electricity. He will always take the path of least resistance to get to where he needs to. Or basically he’s not interested in fighting his way. He may be able to put up some points, but he’s definitely not a playoff warrior. I doubt he’d get a shot on net in a full playoff series. His problems lie between the ears. He’s definitely got skill, and speed. But he really doesn’t play hockey. He floats around looking for the least resistance and if it’s not there, he disappears.
Sad thing is, this team could really use Joker right now. Maybe Buffalo will trade back? They’re probably open to anything!!!

pretty good article about kampf i thought. below was the worst the article had to say about him. (his offensive prowess) And offensively, he contributes almost nothing. Among 367 eligible forwards league-wide, Kampf ranks 334th and 336th in individual shot attempts and scoring chances per minute, respectively. (it's actually hard to imagine who could be worse. highmore?) He became just the second forward in Hawks history to appear in 45 consecutive games to start a season without scoring a goal. He also came within a few weeks of becoming the fourth forward in franchise history to score zero goals in a full season (minimum 45 appearances), avoiding that distinction by finally hitting the net Monday night against the Predators.but the rest of his game (defensive prowess) is where he shines, obviously. the article does a good job of explaining that. chicago.suntimes.com/blackhawks/2021/4/23/22399829/blackhawks-david-kampf-defense-matchups-jeremy-colliton-pius-suter

Time for the Hawks to play more kids and cut back ice time of the vets and hope they move up in the draft lotto.
Unfortunately Stan and JC won't be fired because Bowman said they're doing a rebuild, so they get away with another failed season.
If they had a competent coach and GM this team might be a playoff team but they have neither so here we are again with another wasted year.

i suppose this could be seen by some as reason for hope.
not surprising the top 5 teams are non playoff teams i guess. tbh, i'm kind of surprised to see the wings with the 5th fewest games. florida and carolina seem to be in a good place. stellar records while still playing more than their share of kids.
anyways....quite the discretion between the top and bottom teams here.

That surprised me too for a supposed rebuilding team. Next year will be much different for them. They’re rebuilding the right way. Not really throwing kids at a problem. They’re last 2 first rounders (which were quite high) aren’t even there. They told them to stay home due to Covid and their team was gonna be bad anyways. Plus they e got quite a few other picks that are either in the farm, Jrs, or Europe just waiting for a shot. I could see them leading that in the next year. The Hawks won’t have many rookies to play now. I think the wings will be a powerhouse in a few years!!!

Two more helpers last night leaves the great Patrick Kane 5th in league scoring and 2nd in assists but being out of the top 50 in goal scoring has to be embarrassing for him and I wonder how much longer he wants to be embarrassed.

I’m not going to try and make things look worse than they are. However, Kane does not look very interested in being out there. We have to think about how many friends he actually has on this team? Even if he becomes buddies with someone, how long till they’re gone? My personal belief is that the org is gonna make it very tough for the final few guys to stick around. I believe this is why you never see lines being set. Every game they have to play with someone new. And or another rookie. I really don’t see the Hawks having 19 or 88 come next off season. I think the org looks better when the stars wanna leave, and they facilitate them. If that is the plan, just do it. Why waste away and sell false hope? There’s a lot of people who have to believe in something, and the Hawks could be that thing. There’s a lot of people that seriously believe the Hawks will win a Cup in the next few years. I’ve had a discussion on here with a certain poster who actually believes a Cup is within reach in the next few years. Even though the org had said they’re rebuilding. But there really is no plan in place. Which will lead to a full 8-10 year rebuild. One thing is certain. Everything the org has said really hasn’t happened. Even this so called rebuild. I think everyone is in agreement that we expected no worse than a top 5 pick this year due to the letter they put out. We were ok with it. Yet, Kane plays 23-24 mins a night, kids get shuffled back and forth on and off the roster for no good reason. They went for the playoffs with the trades made, and it failed again. They need to give the kids a shot. And the ones that got shuffled are now confused cuz trades were made and guys like Beaudin who actually looked very good, gets bumped and Stillman and Kalynuk get the nod over him. So my best guess is that Kane and Toews won’t wanna do this much longer!!!

I knew being close to .500 would give the 'we're ahead of schedule' mantra legs and dropping out of contention when things got tough against real teams is just part of the rebuild or the cover of the 'letter'. This reminds me of needing a 'letter' from your parents when you missed school......Rocky and Scotty gave their worthless spawn sacks a letter....LOFL!

Kane has been playing with physical issues since he returned last season for the qualifing round. He is not going to play for the US to take care of himself.

right above his and my posts, bob posted the article about 88. it says in there that he has been dealing with something since last summer. no clues as to what it is, though.
