Yeah uninspired is a perfect way to put it they dont get there shit together soon they will be out. They have some vets there that were brought in to lead they might want to start doing that.

I fear this exact scenario will happen here. The Devils still had a few top picks to add into the lineup. So they’ve been wasting assets to go for it. I think Fitzy will hit the brakes here and just punt on the season. I think the cap will get tight really soon. So it may be worth it to keep all picks and keep the pipeline going!!!

holy shit that was a good tilt. ^^ update: 15:03 ice time (average 3:45/game), +1, 1 goal, 27 PIMs. www.eliteprospects.com/player/476674/matt-rempeedit: they haven't credited to him yet but i think for sure rempe has scored the go-ahead goal in that game as well. ok...it's official...it's his goal, and the game winner to boot. all of the sudden the rags now have won 10 straight and sit on top of the league in points and points percentage.

interesting graphic but not quite current.
currently sid at 1558 points while ovi is at 1527.
sid has played in 155 less games. sid at 1.25 points/game, ovi at 1.09 points/game.

I really could see Sid finishing 2nd all time. He more than likely would a hit 2000 career points if not for missing all those games from concussions. But I see him playing another 3-4 years. And the way he’s going, he may have a couple more 100 points seasons in him if he falls down the age well like everyone does. I believe he’ll end up with over 1900. And Jagr is at 1921. Sid could be at 1600 at this seasons end!!

big hit by coleman on mcdavid leads to a pretty good tilt between coleman and janmark. not bad for janmark's 2nd career fight.
5-2 for the flames (in edmonton) going into the 3rd period.
chippy game has potential to get ugly.

Edm 4-5-1 this February. I guess the new coach excitement/effect is gone. I still think theyll miss the PO. But ive been wrong many times before

Cousins guy is getting a bit of a reputation as a guy (and i quote) "being a dirty player that will go to extreme lengths to avoid retribution."
Leave that shit on the soccer field.

Remember when Koci played for us? he got his 72 minutes in just 2 games. 42 minutes against phoenix in his first game with chicago and 30 minutes in his 4th game against the duckies. the other 3 games in his first 5 he didn't get called once.

interesting.
so i guess that would mark the end of the lottery if the nhl ever decided to adopt this?
it would be pretty hard to do this in the nhl. it's obviously a better fit for a brand new league. still, i like the idea. it would definitely add excitement towards the end of the year in games that normally wouldn't generate much interest.

seems to me we've got a lot of former hawks playing defense for other teams. i'm not sure that it's a disproportionate amount but it does seem like a lot. there's 301 defensemen that have skated this year in the nhl. by my count there are 16 ex-hawks skating (or have skated) with other clubs. did i miss any? good chance i did.
jordan oesterle ian mitchell caleb jones dennis gilbert TVR adam boqvist dehaan nick seeler maatta zadorov jokiharju jan rutta leddy mccabe gus forsling
edit: for shits/giggles and to check my own sanity, i did the same for the 18/19 season. by my count there were just 8 former hawks out of 325 blueliners that year that were playing with other teams.
adam clendening, brandon manning, rutta, oesterle, hjammer, TVR, leddy and byfuglien.
okay....boring bit of info here. move on folks...nothing to see here. : )

I can't see the NHL ever going to this, tbh.

before tonight's game, mcdavid was on a 10 game goal drought dating back to feb. 6th.
in that time period he still led the league in scoring with 23 points...all assists obviously. matthews was 7 points back in second having played in 10 games as well.
nobody does scoring slumps quite like mcdavid.
of course, in tonight's game he has 2 more assists (both primaries) and the OTGWG so now 1g, 25a in his last 11 games.
edit: mcdavid's goal, just posted because it was a cool shot. also doesn't hurt it was scored on binnington..
