good gene pool in that family i guess...or good work habits. he was born in the yukon and i never realized he's indigenous, a member of the "Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in First Nation". draft eligible in '26. at 16 he's 5'11" and 165 lbs. i wonder how big CB was? www.eliteprospects.com/player/576982/gavin-mckenna

Typically at 16 he’s probably done height wise. But I’m sure he’ll put on 30 lbs over the next 4 years. And then once he retires and 40!!!

Some fans might like it but you have to wonder what those young Flyer prospects make of it...... www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nhl/love-torts-no-compromise-fans-react-to-john-tortorella-s-rant-at-bobby-brink-and-bench-in-flyers-5-2-loss-to-capitals/ar-BB1jdon3?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=U531&cvid=be47b73e08104f279e8cef50183f99b9&ei=27Rip a rookie like that publicly and then call him stupid in the presser? Maybe Cutter Gauthier was out-of-place refusing to play for Torts and maybe he smelled a rat,how many great, young players has Torts really helped develop? The 20yro 6'3" 200lb forward has 31 goals and 51 points in 32 games for Boston College in an outstanding sophomore season after putting-up 24pts in 14 WJC games. I now remember why Kevin Hayes name was dragged into the saga. Hayes says he never said anything negative to the young player about Torts or Philly and I believe him,but there were players around the league and on the team at the time who didn't care for Torts treatment of Kevin Hayes. As soon as Torts arrived there in the summer of '22' and before camp even broke,he started in on Hayes and mentioned 'problems in the room'the year before. The year before saw Kevin Hayes attempt to battle through injury AND deal with the loss of his brother Jimmy.

But the message gets old quickly also I dont think of Torts being a very good X and O coach. But he is entertaining

I don’t think kids can or will take what Torts is selling anymore. I personally think he’s a good coach and his criticisms seem justified to me. But kids these days will never tolerate this anymore. I don’t think he lasts much longer there. More and more kids will want out, and when you’re rebuilding, it’s tough. The genie is out of the bottle. Players all talk, using any type of intimidation as motivation just won’t work these days!!!

Part of me wants to like 'Mr Fleece' and his old school approach, but he isn't the only demanding HC ever and even other demanding HC's don't publicly berate young players like that....if at all. If he wants to 'lite a kid up' in practice,a 1 on 1 or team meeting, that's his business but rolling players under the bus(kids or vets)in a presser creates ill will.

Lots of names on that list i never heard of. Funny they are all since the year 2000. I know I'm late to this, but I've been loving what Rempe's been doing; I know a lot of people don't, but I'm not sorry about it. Kid plays hard and answers the bell for it. I agree though, he shouldn't be fighting every game; hopefully Olivier was a lesson for him.

Wonder how folks on this list are doing today from a quality of life perspective. Tough way to earn a living. I thought this guy in Vegas was crazy for offering 3 kicks to his nuts for $50 and that was back in 2016, have to assume with inflation it is higher now.

I'd say it's too early to say, but either way, I like his game right now. Definitely needs to wisen up and not accept every invite every game if he wants any longevity.

The guy already injured 2 players with illegal head shots. He thinks he is too cute and can fight at every game. I guess if he doesn't care about his head should think about other players. Just matter of time until he learns his lesson

Anthony mantha traded to Vegas ...for a 2nd ('24) and a 4th ('26) with the caps retaining 50%. with stone in LTIR, they're saying the knights still have the space to make another move.

Its done. Tarasenko to the Cats for possible two 3rd round picks. Underwhelming return for the Sens, its probably the NMC.

Great move by Florida, love the way that team is constructed already, let alone this move. They're definitely my team in the East, would love to see them hoist it this year.

Byram for Mittledstadt. Not sure what the Avs are thinking on this one. Byram next contract going to be expensive?

I’m thinking Colorado needed a center, and Byram was the price since Colorado just got Sean Walker in a trade to dump Johansen. Colorado has a very mobile defense corps but aren’t they all just a little too similar? This is an interesting trade though with both teams getting something they can use, now and in the future. These aren’t rentals.

Byram next contract going to be expensive? they already have Makar, D Toews, Girard, and Josh Manson. now they maybe have a 2LC for the foreseeable future. and they got the Flyers to take Johansson off their hands for a first rounder AND they added Sean Walker. The Oil adding Henrique now. Vegas and Dallas made moves as well, gonna be a battle in the West this post-season.

the rare hockey trade at the deadline. Longing for the day when the Hawks are back in that mode. When the many prospects in the system make the jump they'll have to make trades like this, there won't be room for them all.

he only played 6 games for the blackhawks. we got him off waivers and eventually we terminated his contract. he's a former 5th rounder who has hit his version of the jackpot at 30 years of age. anyways...all i remember of him here was he played a tough game and had some impressive workout routines in the gym. before this, his 7th pro season...the most he made was 775k. congrats for sticking with it. i got a feeling he's a tortorella kinda' guy. www.nhl.com/flyers/player/nick-seeler-8476372
