Berube was also the Blues minor league coach for a year earlier, Chicago Wolves, then he replaced Yeo on Nov. 19th last year. The Blues then went 14-18-4 when he took over. Then they brought up Binnington and history was made. There’s no doubt Bennington was huge but their defensive play is a huge factor as well,Jake Allen held the Oil to 2 in Edmonton last night! Also they got rid of their slow defenseman Edmundson and picked up a faster one in Justin Faulk. What a concept, fast Dmen over slow Dmen. |

Bruins get off to their best start since the 'roaring 20's' and then lose to the Habs and Wings. Avs get off to their own great start but lose five in a row before smokin' a real good Preds team. What are the chances we'll ever see a Patriots team on a roll lose to a last place team? |

I’m a huge Grapes fan. If anyone even cared to watch it they’d see it wasn’t as disturbing as the liberal media makes it out to be. All he said was that in Mississauga no one wears a poppy ( the red flower we wear in Canada over our hearts for the men and women lost in WW1. Which stemmed from a poem written by lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, “In Flanders Fields”.). Mississauga and Brampton etc are all heavy immigrant areas. All he said was that they should support the fallen and the soldiers now because they’re the ones who fought and died for the freedoms they now enjoy. I felt that was long overdue. I’m sorry to get political, but unless you go there, you won’t understand.
Every year one of my dearest friends, who served in Princess Patricia’s infantry here in Canada for a decade, I always make sure today on the 11th month on the 11th day on the 11th hour and the 11th minute to send him a heart felt message to let him know the respect he deserves! I don’t think it’s too much to ask of people to buy a 1$ poppy to show respect to the fallen immigrants or not. I make sure my son has one on. I make sure all my coaches have them on, I even bought half a dozen yesterday so everyone on my staff had one. I fear respect is heavily lacking in society today.
I apologize to anyone who takes this the wrong way. It’s not meant to hurt anyone, just to shed some light on what our armed forces go through, here, and in the USA!!!

I've come to learn that "liberal media" is the press reporting things exactly as they were said; how dare they...personally, I don't care if HNIC kept or released Don Cherry, IMO he's always been a bloviating buffoon, which maybe is more an act than anything. That said, I'm surprised that folks in general, but especially those in the public eye can't see how ridiculous it is to make blanket statements about large groups of people. It's absurd to state that all immigrants to Canada purposely don't buy the poppy or respect the fallen of the Canadian military. Period. It's as baseless as saying all millennials are entitled and spoiled; just not true. I respect the opinions of others here, and this will be my last comment on the matter.

I gotta wonder if the visitor's locker room at TD garden has any paint left on it's walls what so ever. Panthers down 0-4 to start the 3rd with Bob on the bench and their 23yro backup comes in and goes 15 for 15 and 3 of 4 in the shootout for the W! the panther's announcer said it was their biggest ever comeback. on a sidenote....how about them 'yotes? wins in washington and just now in st. loo in b2b games....both shootouts. they just signed their g.m. chayka to a long term extension. if the hawks folded tomorrow i think arizona would be high on my list of teams to follow. 11-6-2 and they haven't missed a beat since hjammer went down even though i was expecting them to. |
