But what is HP sauce? I didn't see the original thread.
HP sauce? i don't use it but it stands for House of Parliament sauce. it's like a multi-use steak sauce i suppose. Cool, thanks.

the panther's announcer said it was their biggest ever comeback. on a sidenote....how about them 'yotes? wins in washington and just now in st. loo in b2b games....both shootouts. they just signed their g.m. chayka to a long term extension. if the hawks folded tomorrow i think arizona would be high on my list of teams to follow. 11-6-2 and they haven't missed a beat since hjammer went down even though i was expecting them to. I been considering buying a place in Arizona for the winter. I'll probably go to a few games. One of our members here is a Kings fan and he has season tickets for the Kings and Yotes. Sure I can get a couple games from him. Don’t you live in Florida?

Don’t you live in Florida? Nope, I live in Chicago, if you call that living. My mistake. I thought a guy living in Florida and buying a winter home in Arizona was just rubbing it in.

How much is a ticket from Toronto to Chicago? Should we think about starting up a collection for one?

Babs is a dinosaur on the freeway. He’s just outdated and his Keenan style of intimidation just doesn’t work anymore. I told my buddy when Babs was hired, he wouldn’t last the full contract. A rebuilding team just won’t tolerate him. Hopefully he learns a lesson and adjusts, but I doubt it!!!

Sure he’s an arrogant ass. But what has Dubas done except given him a soft and overpaid team with no fire? The Leafs are the Monkees thinking they can write and produce their own songs. Everyone outside of Leaf Nation is laughing.

Here's the 4-1-1 on LAK. Blake is the guy that has been behind the further tanking of this franchise. Kovy is on him. The Phaneuf BO was understandable, but they are going to eat it next year. The trade of Phan for Gabby was OK at the time b/c the Kings were trying to get to the post-season in Blake's 1st year and Gaborik was on LTIR. Ironically, they could've avoided the cap space by leaving him there.
I've gone on the record with Blake and his boss, Dan Beckerman that Blake should be fired. I stand by that still.
Going to the Yotes-Oiler game on Sunday. I wanna see if ARI is for real. Real being defined as getting to the post-season. The Kessel acquisition has charged the fan base.

OK, but Leafs GM knew it as you knew it before he hired him.So who is responsible for the fiasco ? Also I agree with tincup about unblanced team, it's again Dubas fault.

If you look back, Dubas was not GM when Babs was hired, lamorielo was the GM for his first 2 years. Dubas isn’t fully in control, Shanahan made the firing, simply because he hired him. Shanny doesn’t pass the buck and deals with problems he’s created. The Leaves have a much better team than the Hawks. Watch how well the leaves do now, Babs is just a hard ass and he’s getting older with the same type style that players haven’t bought into in a decade. Babs hasn’t won a playoff series in 6 years, and has only won one series in the last decade. When guys like Datsyuk and Zetterberg said they’d rather retire than play for him again, that really screams pass to me!!!

Everyone outside of Leaf Nation is laughing. Just like here with our Hawks, the players will quit on a coach. The Blues did it to Yeo ( who’s cut from the same cloth as Babs), the Hawks were doing it to Colliton and I’m pretty sure Stan told him to quit with the defensive scheme and let them play a run and gun or else both were fired. The leaves quit on Babs. The Wings quit on him. Zetterberg said years ago that Babs is the reason his back would get worse. He’s ran the guys into the ground. Players are different now, nothing anyone can do about it. These players are pampered from the time their 12 years old. Some 12/13 year olds get agents. It’s very weird, but it is what it is. Babs just isn’t the guy you want anymore. Google Marc Crawford’s “I had to learn to coach millennials”, he explains a lot here!!!

When they had Berube,Glass and Forskin in net,the players knew hey couldn’t win with AHL goalies and tanked for a pick. If you say the sweep against the Preds after winning the Division, then we MUST assume the Bolts quit on Cooper and the Pens quit on Sullivan too. The team wasn't very good Q’s last two years.....sorry.

The Leafs had one of the best hockey minds in the game in Lou Lamoriello but let him leave and replaced him with a guy who looks fourteen.....LOFL!!!!!

cheap shot no doubt, but this isn't a league where it's wise to admire your pass. no penalty called for gawd knows why, but you gotta' think the league will take a look at this hit.

Lots of EDM fans there. Virtually all had 97 sweaters, lol. EDM and ARI are the top two teams in the division right now. I can see ARI making the post-season if they stay healthy. Goaltending is very solid, primarily a defensive based club, good workrate, developing talent. Bear is a d-man to keep you eye on for the Oilers. LMK your plans, pal.

carey price pulled tonight for the first time in a while.
he's having a very pedestrian season by his standards. (3.09, .900) way above his career numbers. (2.49, .918) 9 goals allowed in his last 28 shots.
6 more years after this season at 10.5 mill/per. he must be feeling the heat in montreal these days.

Anyone notice in the standings they have add an "RW" next to "ROW" column?
RW for Regulation wins and ROW for Regulation + OT wins?
Used to have just ROW.
Now the tie-breakers are:
1: The fewer number of games played. (i.e., superior points percentage). 2: The greater number of games won, excluding OT and SO(I.E. "Regulation Wins") reflected in RW column 3: The greater number of games won, excluding games won in SO. This figures in ROW column. 4: The greater number of games won by the Club in any manner (i.e, "Total Wins"). This figure is reflected in the W column
