Q's been a part of 2 huge comebacks now, This one might be more impressive then the Calgary game where the Hawks fell behind 5 - 0 in the first before rallying for 6 - 5 OT win on Seabrooks game winner. Panthers did it in final 20 while Hawks had over 40, scoring 1 in the first, 2 in the 2nd, 2 in the 3rd.

Guy goes to a new team and tries too hard to live up to the contract rather then just play the game that got him the contract in the first place. Hopefully it will just be a few months before he fully settles in and starts playing like he knows he can.

Kings quietly announce that Kovalchuk will be a healthy scratch until further notice, but that he is welcome to practice with the team. Not on the Kings site. Reported by Elliot Friedman. Makes sense. He's not on the ice tonight. This is the 2nd coach that has healthy scratched him with a great team like the Kings no less, lol.

Am just surprised that it took so long (over a season) that his spirit and arrogance took over. Many have spoken against when an idea of bringing him to the Hawks has appeared. Not for the age reason, but for the character reason. On the other side, I had a sensation that Radulov signing by Montreal and then later by Stars will have the same ending. Although is not yet nearing end of that contract, I believe the Stars are mostly satisfied with the services Radulov is providing.

Even in his prime Kovalchuk put up ridiculously bad +/- numbers and that's hard to do when you're pottin' 40 a year. I'm not big on Radulov either but he's at least more willing to play a role and he's a tough dude. Kovalchuk is the kind of player you never give a multi year deal to,one at a time might have kept him engaged....maybe! LA has five more years of 31yro Kopitar @10m,two more of 36yro Kovalchuk @6.250M,three more of 35yro Brown @5.875 and three more of 34yro Carter @5.27M. Doughty turns 30 in less than a month and his eight year 11M deal kicked in this year and they have one of the league's worst records to show for all of that $$$.

And count to those numbers that they had originally Gaborik signed to I believe @5m and if I am not mistaken they had also Phaneuf contract for a while in their books. But am not sure about Phaneuf but too lazy to look it up. Mr Trash...?

Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby underwent a successful core muscle injury repair today, it was announced by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.
The surgery was performed by Dr. William Meyers of the Vincera Institute in Philadelphia, Pa. The expected recovery time is a minimum of six weeks.
Crosby, 32, leads the team in scoring with 12 assists and 17 points in 17 games for the Penguins this season despite dealing with a sports hernia since training camp.

mcdavid with 6 points in 2 periods against the avs...oilers up 6-2 after 2.
4 more in the 3rd and he ties darryl sittler's record of 10 points in a game. sittler had 6g and 4 assist back in the 70's against boston. rookie dave reece was in net and cherry left him in for all of them (11 goals total). the joke at the time that reece was so upset after the loss he jumped in front of a train but it went between his legs. that was reece's last game in the big leagues.
edit: avs goalie tandem (werner and bibeau) had 3 career nhl starts between them before this game.

I hear he can whip up a hell of a pizza too! Had to google the expression "whip up" but still failed to understand. But if it means that he can flavor, eat and digest a laptop, no thanks

But if it means that he can flavor, eat and digest a laptop, no thanks whip up: to produce or prepare (a meal) very quickly as in "I can whip a meal up in no time." as far as the laptop goes, once you're past the battery it wasn't so bad. lucky for me mine was a hewllett packard so it went good with some HP sauce.

That's the best steak sauce in the world and I can't find it down here. I usually put nothing on a steak but if I could find it...…..I'd put that shit on everything!

That’s what ya get for having little faith in former lazy Hawk Duclair! Now he’s as comfy as ever loafing on the Sens couch!!!

HP sauce? i don't use it but it stands for House of Parliament sauce. it's like a multi-use steak sauce i suppose.
