Duclair had a hat trick with GWG in overtime You beat me to it. I was going to post that. Another great move by Bowman, although I really can't blame him for that one. But, funny to see Duclair with 18 goals this year.

The Hawks need a guy, or two, to rise from the dead like Duclair.

While true, he’s also now on another team that’s traditionally shit. I doubt he stays in the desert. Good trade for NJ though!!!

Maybe, but having him in the desert for the rest of this season means that there is certainly one less playoff spot for the Hawks, if they can even get close to trying to get one.

I’m not being a pessimist here, just trying to keep a level head. I really don’t see the Hawks making the playoffs. Arizona, Colorado, Van, Calgary, Edmonton, Dallas, St lol, Nash, Winnipeg and Vegas all have a better chance than the Hawks. We’ve played 34 games with a whopping 32 points. So we have 48 games left, we need 64 points out of them to make it. So we’d have to go something like this 28-12-8 or 32-16-0. Something amazing would have to happen. We’re already roughly 10 points back with 6 teams to climb over. Just not gonna happen. I think this year, After the holidays, it’s best to cut Stan loose. Let an interim GM come in and trim some dead weight and get a bunch of picks for the new GM to come in. I’m not saying this to pile on SB, it’s just the most realistic approach now!!!

Surprised the SB didn't swoop in and claim him. If the Kings are still on the hook for the 6.25M this year and next(and I don't see how they can't be),why not just buy him out? Does whatever he get from another team reduce what LA has to pay him? I see he's in a 'Terminated' section on Capfriendly along with Richards but I believe they pay Richards a bunch more $$$ for a while in a buy out or settlement.

Bob, these are the things that don’t make sense. Toews and AA are great friends along with CC. The chemistry is not there and won’t be there. Stan destroyed any last glimmer of hope this team had to do something special. I know many look at the Blues, but the Blues didn’t have over half their roster turned over, they just hated their coach, Yeo reminds me a lot of Colliton. They seem like the same type guy/coach. I doubt this goes anywhere anytime soon. I hate to be this pessimistic, but it’s now a reality. This team has been pretty bad for the better part of 2.5 years. And we’re not talking semi-bad, we’re talking awful. I don’t see any uptick in performance. I don’t see this getting any better before it gets worse!!!
