Everything said there just sounds like an asshole taking advantage of a younger impressionable guy. To drag down others will not make it go away, and it won’t make things better. Especially people that have absolutely no way to change the situation. Again, what could Q or Stan done differently? And I don’t mean the low hanging fruit. In which they both go over their bosses head. That was never gonna happen. And it wouldn’t happen today!!! Q should have followed up by questioning the one who said he'd take care of it. Ok. Sure. Now, the guy was gone shortly after. Isn’t it reasonable to think that it was taken care of? A couldn’t go to the cops. The law says Beach had to. The right thing to do was McD should’ve talked to HR. Had them tell him his legal options. That was the right thing to do. They failed him. Now to drag everyone else down is lunacy. I’m sure Q or Evan Stan didn’t know the proper procedures, and they just let the other guy deal with it like he said. Beach was a black ace. They are not with the team in the playoffs. A got called into a briefing on this. So now because someone told him, and it wasn’t his choice to hear that, he’s guilty and a horrible person. I find that really tough to understand!!!

This comes down to whether one believes Q's answers in his recent interview. He stated 'the meeting' with management included few details and he became aware of the worst allegations years later. No one's come-out to either corroborate it or dispute it so far but I'd like to hear from 'Chevy' or Bergevin myself. Both were AGM's at the time and both were definitely in the room where it happened, yet both escaped league scrutiny and public scorn. I would say I'd like to hear from SB too,but in a way we already have. IMO,the report went out of it's way to paint the former GM in the best light possible, and even allowed him to point his finger at McD and Q,suggesting the upcoming SCF took precedent with both over the issue discussed in the meeting. Another finger-pointer who did exactly what those being pointed at did.......follow the very definitive order dictated by an IRON-FISTED CEO.
The recent interview is a 'hill to die on' for me as far as continued support for our former three-time cup winning HC and here's why. If Joel Quenneville is correct in his claims that the seriousness of the allegations went unmentioned in the meeting, and he only became fully aware years later, the price he's already paid has been excessive. BUT,even though he took some responsibility,if I come to find out he's lying to our faces in the recent interview,I'd be done with him and he should be done with the league and possibly the 'Hall' too. These claims can be either collaborated or disputed by those 'in the room'!
At least Q was willing to sit-down for an extensive interview, and he answered every question......not a 'softball' in the bunch. McD-Bag and DUMBASS are still in nit-wit protection somewhere.......WHY? 'Chevy' and 'Berge' both rose to the position of GM and 'Chevy' is the 2nd longest tenured GM in the league, these two well respected recollections of the meeting and Q's claims would hold much sway IMO.

i posted the same interview here on the last page over 2 weeks ago. the interview i posted was imbedded into someone else's podcast, and the interview itself was almost an hour long. for some reason your interview is just under 13 minutes long.

I think it’s just a condensed version. Kinda like a cliff notes of it. That’s why I posted the shorter one. On another note. On JayZs show. They really ripped Q. The comments section wasn’t too kind to them. And I kinda agree. When Shaw says stuff like he said in his post interview, and I’ve heard Scotty Upshall, Shane O’Brien, Buff and a litany of other guys say the same type things. It’s really too bad that it had to come to this. And I’m happy Q finally called out McD. And you can tell he didn’t want to!!!
