It's interesting it says that Fleury will be the "unquestioned starter" and Lankinen will be the backup. I wonder how the split in starts will shake out. Notice it also says the Hawks are still about $1.4M over the cap.

They still have the 3.9 of Shaws in the pocket. But there is always confusing interpretations of is it the teams first game or the leagues first game before putting him on LTIR. |

I've heard burying Connelly is also an option if they want to add any other pieces. I can Strome going, too. he and Subban both could use a trade, imo. |

They can’t add that to his contract. A contract is a contract after all. But he can have a verbal agreement with them. I highly doubt they’d trade him, only if he requested it. But all in all, I think his request will be acknowledged and respected!!! |

Not so fast, unless of course you're being facetious, which I believe you are...
MAF definitely helps the Hawks in net now as well as coaching up the younger guys but making the playoffs and or going deep in them, no... I hope I'm wrong though.

Well, it should be an interesting season, no matter how it goes. Even tho I do not agree with most of the GM's decisions, I will still cheer for the Hawks to win their games unless it becomes obvious that the team they put out there is not competitive. I don't think that will happen, but, if it does, then I will probably hope for a really bad finish. Let's hope it does not come to that, altho, who can say that would be a terrible result in the long run. These are very confusing times.

Especially with the whole Covid situation, it’s just not realist this year. I think the players that go will be wiped out. It’s been a couple years since an actual full season has happened. So I think it’d be best to stay home and aim high for the next Olympics!!! |

MAF ain't in Vegs any more Auntie M but the Hawks D is improved and a shit ton of money's been spent and a shit ton of assets have been spent too. No excuses for Harry Potter now. |

That makes the trade more palatable but the team should be nowhere hear the lottery pick with so much $$$ spent this year. Exactly, they should be top3 in their division, if not, especially if they don't make the playoffs, that should get the Hawks a new GM and coach. Unless they start the season slow and Colliton is let go, then a new GM can keep or get his own coach. It's gonna be a very interesting year with the 3 time Cup winning Vezina winner and probably the best all around dman after Hedman. Plus Lankinen will learn a lot from MAF, as well as the kids during training camp, Commesso, Basse, Soderblom. We'll see if Subban is still here and Delia could be expendable as well during the season if the kids step up in Rockford. |

gotta' feel a bit for the forgotten guy mikael hakkarainen, the guy that went to vegas in the trade (except he isn't going to vegas).
hell, vegas doesn't even want him playing in their system.
i suppose if you were a player who needed a bit of motivation to your arse in gear, this would likely do it.
