2 big mobile dmen. A righty and a lefty. This is how you rebuild. Not popular moves. But I will say I’m happy to have 3 first rounders in a draft. Hopefully 3 more next year. That’s how to rebuild quicker!!! Rebuilds are tough but this is definitely how you do it, just turned 18 and he's a 6'4" righty. Really good first round. Bob McKenzie had Rinzell at 31 and Luneau at 32.

"Rinzel, a 6-foot-3, 181-pound native of Chanhassen, Minn., split his 2021-22 season between Chaska High School in Minnesota and the Waterloo Black Hawks of the USHL, totalling 48 points (11G, 27A) in 48 games. The blueliner is committed to the University of Minnesota to play college hockey in the fall."

Does it matter? The Hawks need a cutout to put in front of the net next season. I'm assuming Delia is done here. Mrazek and Lanks the duo maybe?

I figured Lamoureux would move up, huge and a great skater for his size. Twice the height of Bettman. Funny, his suit pants are too short, I think he grew another inch on the way to the stage.

Now next year to make BigT happy the Hawks should pull a Ditka and trade all their picks for the #1 and get Bedard.

We’ll find out in a few minutes. I dont get this trade. They just helped out the leafs cap by taking on this lousy contract just to move up 13 spots in the draft? Is this the weaponizing capspace i keep reading about?

Said he reminded him of Brian Campbell.

Nazar will be going to Univ. of Mich. I assume for at least a couple years. I'm hoping for 2 years. for the sake of both teams.

Is this the weaponizing capspace i keep reading about? Yup. They got a long-term D prospect with size for a netminder who will be a good tank commander in the Bedard sweepstakes. As T said: 2 D prospects and a center prospect who might already be an upgrade over Dach at the dot. Yeah, we lost Debrincat for a very Meh. Return, but I think they did alright in the 1st round.

London owns his OHL rights. I’m hoping he heads there for 2 years and slays the OHL!!! Articles show he and his family want him to do the NCAA thing, how long will be up to him I guess. mayhaps he does one of each...

I assume Richardson must have been aware of the direction of management when he was hired but I wonder how many times he was adjusting his theoretical lineup cards today.

22.750 in cap space with only a handful of roster spots open.
Money won't be an issue, still sign Strome, Kub and Chevy.
Bring up a couple Rockford D-men for the year and still suck.

I'm guessing he spends two seasons in Ann Arbor, likely at the 'hawks request, unless he just blows everyone away this season and won't be denied... which would be fine. ..

I'm actually quite happy to read this. I thought rinzell might've been one of them there "off the board" picks. I will rest easier now. Anyways...glad i got to see the draft today. Pretty big day. Big one tomorrow but i don't think i'll make it. At least for the start.

Bad this year. 12W 6L, 3.34 .888 To quote a leaf's insider (my brother) "if his wonky groin holds out he's a good stopper". Pretty good his previous 8 years. Anyhoo...we don't need a guy to lead us to the promised land this year. Just need a mentor who stays healthy and maybe can be dealt down the road if it works out.

Edmonton is demanding that by Saturday Keith make his intentions clear about next season. If he chooses retirement what is the recapture hit for the Hawks? I never remember this stuff.

He was leaned on heavily down there and respected. Some thing Dach should have had, be taught to be a pro.
