It's good the IceHogs got a point but unfortunately, again, the lack of offense is continuing. Last night was the fifth game in a row, and the 13th out of the last 14, with two or less goals in regulation. Out of the last five, every game went to either OT or a shootout. Fortunately they did win three of them but they're also leaving points on the table.
They did lose five in a row at one point during the last 14 games, so I hope the lack of offense doesn't start to catch up to them again.

There will surely be some openings on the roster for next season, both upfront and on D. It should be interesting to see what kids from the system get a long look. There seem to be a few more D prospects that are a year or two older, have a little more experience, and would appear to be closer than what's upfront. After Reichel, a lot of the F prospects are young and inexperienced, and still developing.  

One d-man I'm curious about is Galvas. I knew he was called up to the Blackhawks and played a handful of games last year but I don't really recall how he looked, considering his inexperience. I don't know if he looked decent or if he looked overmatched.
He leads the IceHog d corps in points and I was curious if he had enough to be a lower pairing NHL'er, or if he was pretty much a minor leaguer but good enough be an injury callup.

Galvas is a smart defensive player and good instincts in the O zone, plus he's a good skater and makes smart passes but he's very skinny, only in the 160s, not good for an NHL dman. With guys like Del Mastro, Allan, and probably Korchinski, turning pro next season I don't see them holding on to Galvas.

And after Reichel there isn't much else in Rockford for forward prospects, most of them are in juniors or college.
