columbus is the team i am picking to finish last. they are riddled with injuries and didn't look all that swell before them, either...

I didn’t know Bedard was a Vancouver native. Maybe if the Hawks somehow get the #1 pick they should consider trading it to Vancouver for their #1 plus their next year’s #1.

I think Boudreau pulls Vancouver out of it, plus their goalie has been terrible so far.

I think Boudreau pulls Vancouver out of it, plus their goalie has been terrible so far. i thought this was an interesting factoid about the canucks. i knew they'd blown a lot of leads this year but to have the second worst points percentage in the league and at the same time owning the stat below is very telling. and i agree....i think they'll pull out of it as well.

way too early for this but what the hell. So Hawks would likely be the next team above this group so won’t take too much to drop a couple of notches into the mix.

only one game in the nhl and vancouver jumped from #31 to #26 in the points % tank rank.
edit: going to get brutal for chicago. there's 19 games to go until the end of the year and 13 are against current playoff teams.
the non p/o teams are montreal, penguins, washington, minny and the jackets twice. i think we'd be doing good to go .500 against those 6 games.

Think the last time the Hawks traded their #1 to Vancouver they ended up with the Sedins Tallon had to trade the pick to Burke or neither sedin sister would come to the NHL. That was their condition to playing here. They had to be together. If you think about it, it was the best or the Hawks would have had both those twatwaffles.

Thanks for this link. Ducks in the best position for now. They actually have some decent players on their team - not sure why they are quite this bad so far.

in the tankathon site, there is a "sim lottery" button you can press so the fun of it i tried it.
it showed the sharks winning the lottery, followed by st. loo, the duckies then chicago.
i reset and tried it again. this time st. loo won, followed by arizona, the duckies then chicago.
i won't be pressing that button again i can tell you that.

I still cannot believe that pile of shit team won a Cup with that asshat.

COYOTES WIN!! COYOTES WIN!!
6-3 at home against the leaves. matthews must have taken the boys partying in his home town last night. no points for him, marner, tavares, nylander, or bunting. the 5 of them a collective -15. ouch. maybe matt murray as well, he was an .810 in the loss.

Hawks and Columbus very close to each other. Both seem the most willing to round out the bottom. CBJ with 22 points in 34 games. Hawks with 20 in 34 games. Hawks 1-9-0 in last 10. Columbus has lost 7 straight. So let’s hope that the BJs get on a heater here and win a string of games. If the Hawks do end up decimating the roster. They’ll win very few. That’s the kicker here. I doubt the BJs unload Goudreau and Laine. They’ll start winning soon. They’re not that bad. Chicago won’t win much without Toews and Kane. They won’t win much more with them. So let’s hope they help aid the tank. And get back some realistic assets too!!!

another site here similar to the tankathon site. hawks currently have about a 1 in 7 chance of landing bedard. hawks at 14.5%, jackets at 12.6%, duckies at 12.5% and philly at 8.6%. this site gives current odds of winning the draft lottery. i'm guessing it takes into account the remaining schedule, home/away games, current injuries, etc. it's the column on the far right. it also has the hawks finishing at 59.4 points, which i think is a bit generous. www.moneypuck.com/predictions.htm

for shits and giggles i took 100 spins of the tankathon simulated lottery. we got the #1 pick 21 times, the #2 pick 24 times and the #3 pick a whopping 55 times. that's no gouda.
and one time montreal ended up with both of the #1 and #2 picks. talk about speeding up a rebuild.
