These "officials" in the WJC's are awful. I wonder if Bettman is calling them over? About 7-8 years ago they got sick of Canada winning 5 in a row on on multiple occasions. They wanted to “grow” the game. So what they did was is take the venom out of the viper, now we’re left with a belt. It used to frustrate the hell out of me, but that’s just the way she goes now. It sucks, but gotta embrace the new way of playing. My kid does nothing but skill development now, and it works wonders. Not much hitting anymore, especially in the IIHF hockey. We’re not gonna change it, so might as well embrace it!!! |

Our day at the beach is over, and it’s time to trade away guys like Saad, Shaw, Lehner, Maatta etc. None of them will help us win our next Cup, so we need to get as many picks as we can, and rebuild this thing right. I’m not a fan of Stans current way, it’ll never get rebuilt and he keeps holding on to Tallons cards that are no longer at their winning point. I’d bet we could get another 1st rounder and a couple 2nds plus a 3rd for all those guys. I think that’s the way to go!!! |

A few of these Germans look pretty good to me. They don’t look like a team trying to hang in, they were driving the game until late. |

If Stan doesn’t think this way, he sure as hell does a fantastic job of trading away all his first rounders and he tries very hard to get other failed first rounders!!! |

thankfully missed the russia game. hayton leaving his helmet on during the russian anthem was a big no-no and obviously fired up the opponent. anyways, his apology seems sincere. i think (hope) it was an honest mistake.

One thing I don’t like about this year is that group B is far too stacked. Why put the big 3 in one group? Then leave Sweden to have a clear shot at winning the group quite easily? I think it’s foolish on behalf of the organizers to have that. It’s better to have the top 4 teams spread out.
I think today team Canada really left the effort at home. They clearly didn’t care and took the Rus way too lightly. The Rus had to win at all costs today and the Canadian should a known better. With Hunter there, we can expect a much better effort. Although, Canada has taken an untraditionally young team. I don’t expect them to win this year, next year should be a good year for them. They’re building to win her back home in Canada!!!

2 thoughts come to mind. 1) you're correct 2) i'm an idiot Like I have been saying, This place is where we find friends with the same mental disorders. when i read his apology letter about "processing the game and evaluating how to regroup" i was wondering "what the hell is he referring to?" it should've clicked there but for some reason i thought the incident happened before the game. it was early in the morning here, i hadn't yet poured any nescafe down my throat and i was (and still am) sporting a raging hangover. that's my excuse. but i'm still an idiot. : ) |
