I think it’s worth noting who stayed and who left. Matter of character maybe, or just the fact the NHL’ers had to face their teammates and the KHL’ers didn’t.

Good to see the Yanks pour it on the Rus. I think Canada went out drinking the night before (it’s allowed in Europe). Now the Rus has scored. 3-1 now. I hope the Yanks get another 3!!!

Gonna be honest. It’s been pretty brutal hockey so far. I really haven’t enjoyed much of what I’ve seen. I think the Kazakhstan vs Swiss was the best game I seen thus far!!!

The US stank like a bad fart. That was a less than stellar showing. I thought Caufield would’ve done a lot more than he did. That’s inexcusable for a team as talented as the US squad. It would be nice to see the Canadians face the Rus one more time and take it to them!!!

I don’t know if Putin paid the refs or not, but the Rus has 7 pp in the first 2 periods. And most have been marginal at best. I hate when a team wins on those merits. The game is 3-3 at the end of the 2nd. I hope they let them play, and let the kids settle the winner!!!

We put the game on for my team today in the dressing room. They were super pumped to see our Canadian boys get a couple in the first few mins. I think I may have to find old games to put on, just to pump the kids up. They literally destroyed the team we played today. I think the score ended up something like 25-3. The team was a weaker team no doubt, but they watching the WJ game before hand was a great way to pump the kids up.

From what I saw, I thought the Finns were outclassed in every aspect of the game. Lafreniere is the real deal, I’d love to tank to get him, still half a year to do so. The Winged Wheel is primed to get him, but we should take a run too.

Should be a good rematch tomorrow. We got another game at 4:00 eastern. Gold medal starts at 1:00. Hopefully we’ll get to see the end in the dressing room again with a great result!!!

Absolutely horrible reffing overall. Maybe two legit calls. Half the Canadian team has barely seen the ice.

Boys, I agree on the officiating. They should be embarrassed. It was horrible both ways. Both teams have a ton of complaints. Both teams played well enough to win. Now, let’s be thankful for the refs in the NHL!!!
