years ago I would've been very happy to have Babcock. now, not so much. I am sure, however, if JC and co do poorly the rest if the way this year that he (Babs) will be on the short list of replacements.... Babs is obsolete farm machinery. If he’s hired here, that probably means Stan and JC are gone. No way in hell Stan hires him. Babs is just like Q and won’t tolerate his idiocy. Babs is too much of a hard ass and he literally will run every player into the ground, not good for any team. So more of a massive black hole no to Babs!!!

Just read that Mike Babcock was fired by the the Leafs. Maybe the Hawks should consider hiring him. Hard pass...

I only listened to the first 5mins but it's exactly what I thought of Babcock.

Is someone injured? I don't think they can send anyone to Rockford without clearing wavers, can they?

I assume that it's Caligula's injury, rather than anyone going down to Rockford.

I wouldn't mind seeing Nylander sent down for a bit. Either way, I hope they replace him on the Toews line.

I wouldn't mind seeing Nylander sent down for a bit. Either way, I hope they replace him on the Toews line. Dach should be on his wing, Toews gets kicked out of faceoffs a lot so Dach can learn from one of the best. Plus with all the praise Toews and Kane are giving Dach it only makes sense to play him with one of the Hawks legends, not two grinders on the 4th line. I mentioned Highmore on the old boards cause he had a great start last season but he was injured early and missed the season but he trained hard in Nova Scotia this summer with Crosby, MacKinnon, and Marchand. He looked good in the preseason and playing solid for the Hogs.

I wouldn't mind seeing Nylander sent down for a bit. Either way, I hope they replace him on the Toews line. Nylander has 2 goals in his last 19 games, both came in the Nashville blowout, the 6th and 7th goals. For a supposedly finesse goal scoring prospect if he's not scoring what does he bring? But Colliton has an infatuation, or orders, so Kubalik probably gets the down escalator ride. I hope not.

WHY? For the love of God would they do this? They Have Hagel, Entwhistle, and Wedin. Guess they didn't really want to test the waters. This guys here likely for Kibaliks job. They cherry pick these Stan out Europe with big promises. Wedin is stuck in the minors and the only way Kubalik stays up in be a seat warmer. Guess who won't be signing many unrestricted free agent Europeans.

Most of us here probably know our old buddy Creature. I was talking with him today, his long time buddy the “Kira dog” has passed on. He always told storeys of his Hawks room with his Kira Dog by his side. Thought I’d share that with the Hawks posters who know him. I know Gig and myself also had the same fate and we shared with Hawks fans on the boards, it was nice to hear the kind words from the good folk on here!!!

While I think you’re probably right, I’m hoping this is a showcase move to maybe package Highmore with, say Gus, Koekoek?, to free up a defense spot. As for Hagel and Entwhistle, we’re carrying too many rookies already, their time will come but I’m OK with them doing a full year in the Rock. Wedin though, although new to N.A. is no rookie and impressed in camp and has a nice start going in Rockford. Might be a decent bottom six fill at some point.

hopefully this means someone new on the 19/20 line. it should be Dach, but I've pretty well accepted that he is just gonna be given limited minutes forever this season, apparently, rather than letting him play with some other players at his same skill level....

I know Gig and myself also had the same fate and we shared with Hawks fans on the boards, it was nice to hear the kind words from the good folk on here!!! I had a chat with Creatch after I lost my 'Golden girl' Hannah back in '12'(a real dignified lady) about the true cost of owning a great dog and I told him the emotional check you write at the end is that cost. Had to put a great black lab down back in '02', Jake was a 125lb physical specimen in his prime,he and Hannah both lived long, healthy lives. The current trouble maker is a female Weimaraner I adopted back in '13' at 6yrs old, she's in great shape but the math alone dictates that I'll have to do the right again at some point and I just hope it's not for some time. The 'Hunta-hound' has been quite the handful but like me,more bluster than anything else at this point. Thanks for sharing T! I hadn't seen hide nor hair of Creatch around the old boards since early June and as sad as I am for his loss...….I'm just as glad to hear he's alive and kickin' to be honest. I'm sure you told him how welcomed he'd be here.
