good article. kind've funny....the nhl pundit slammed chicago's chances and the oiler's pundit kind've countered a lot of the points the nhl guy made. it was like 2 articles there for the price of one. anyways...i'd have to agree with the article. no matter which way you look at it, we almost certainly doomed without CC between the pipes. and if we luck our way through with flukey bounces, we'll still be even more doomed in the next round. |

We have to be honest here. This version of the Blackhawks just isn’t that good. They’ll last as long as a tray of bacon at a Chattanooga lunch buffet on Sunday. But it’ll be even worse without Crow. I’d love to think our core guys got it in them to take the team all the way, but that ship has sailed under the Ambassador bridge and is far away now!!! |

“There’s nothing to me intimidating about playing against that blue line in Chicago’s end. They’re not going to push you off the puck. They’re not going to be physical on you, as a whole. I think they’re a light team to play against in that sense. I don’t think other teams comes in worried about having space in the offensive zone, or winning battles. Teams are able to funnel pucks into the quality scores areas of the ice easier against Chicago than anybody else, create these chances, go across the dots, create these lateral plays, and what you end up with in expected goals, which is basically Grade A chances for traditional hockey fans, they give up a ton."

He went on to call em a "soft" group........the word has been out on this team for some time but not having to man up in physical PO series has hid this flaw but now it's on display for everyone to see. If anyone can explain to me how and when this changes.......I'm all ears! |

what has everyone decided to do about playoff beards for this?
Starting them July 31 or waiting to see if they get out of the qualifying round first?
I feel like the latter so it's a "real playoff" thing since this wouldn't be happening if not for the crazy circumstance we're living under

I would say the day of game 1. it is the first day of the playoffs, regardless of what they wanna call this play in round. seeing as I have about a year and half head start, I think I'll pass on going full naked face with the boys, though. |

I think the 5 seconds is not the length of the "bleeping," but it the amount of time BEFORE the sound would actually be broadcasted. When the "bad language" would begin, someone in the sound booth could then push a button to stop the real time sound until the "rant" has expired. And, yes, it could mean that a lot of the actual game could go "quiet." |

Personally, I’ve heard it all before and it doesn’t surprise me. Funny story. My buddy played against Carcillo in the OHL. We were talking a couple weeks back about his allegations and stuff. He was telling me some of the things Carcillo would do and say in Jrs and it’s absolutely horrifying that someone was allowed to skate around and do that. He said the whole Sarnia team at the time was a wreck. But Carcillo was really bad, and I won’t repeat that on here. I’d ban myself!!! |

I’m offended by people who get offended! Really, in these millennial times, a fart is offensive when it used to be funny. Freedom of speech is becoming a cancel culture favourite. The inconvenient truth is that freedom of speech even allows people to be hateful, ignorant. While I don’t agree with that, I do understand their right to freedom of speech. Now, if hateful, ignorant becomes harmful, then it’s a massive problem. The things I’ve personally heard on the ice were funny, and sometimes across the line. But sometimes I’d have a beer with guys after and it was ridiculously hilarious. I think the NHL should allow a ppv type thing where we could watch it uncensored. That would be hilarious. There’s some unruly funny shit that would happen!!! |
