same. I really hope they do one for each of them. If the team wants to pimp things out, I mean market things, each gets their own Last Shift and then there's eventually a "core" Last Shift at some point for 2010, for 2013, for 2015, then for THE "core" of Kane/Toews/Hossa/Keith/Seabrook/Hammer (only guys with 3 rings, right?). Mr. Messmer's evening ended not so much on an up note I recall vividly, the bus ride to-and-from Hawkeye's on Taylor Street still fresh in memory bank. Well shit we for sure ran into each other that night! Memory of night a little hazy did not take bus but went there after game. One of the few hockey games I have ever taken pictures at. |

I'd rather he hangs them up then seeing him play for another team, especially Edmonton. What a great career, best captain ever. Jeezus, especially Edmonton. The Oilers had Keith follow Toews to see how he's doing and they're also saying he won't sign with any team cause he's done. Toews has done it all, Cups and Gold medals, Conn Smythe and Olympic mvp, nothing left to prove. I love Kaner but he didn't sacrifice his body like Toews did, and playing wing isn't as grueling as center, so hopefully he can play till he's almost 40. They should have statues like Hull and Mikita. |

I’m guessing that that’s (without more explanation) going to make a 2024-2025 iffier in terms of how many teams will take that risk even for league minimum. Then again, he may be able then to pick his team. It’s just a second year to recuperate is a new one to me in any major sport. |

But KD hasn't said anything about 2024/25, sign Toews for a year to pass the torch and help the young guys on the bottom 6, he won't be the captain and making 10mill, so far less pressure and it'll give Bedard time to establish it's his team now. |

seems to me like he could be back this season, after a bit here, if he really decides that is what he wants to do. wait until the deadline to decide and take a shot with a contender.

I'd absolutely love to see the captain and 88 hook up again down the road, but at best it'd be quite long odds against.
At least a few worse teams than in edmonton if the 2 were to reunite.
St. Loo, nashville, detroit among others i think most here would agree on.

It doesn't get much uglier. THN was throwing shit against the wall. I doubt either care all that much about playing together again, let alone trying to do so. Tazer would be a great fit in Edmonton, imo. Kane, not so much. I doubt Kane leaves the States, but maybe he signs in Toronto or Edmonton at the deadline for a run. I doubt he signs at either of those places for more than the coming season. I'm pretty sure 88 is looking to get paid one more time, anyway. |

I think the wangs might be for 88. hopefully Tazer hangs em up before even considering playing for either of those teams. |
