Too bad the game isn't on TV tonight. It would have been cool to see the Dach bros out the at the same time.

The only surprise is that Stanton was the only dman. But yeah no surprises those guys were sent to Rockford.

Working for me at the moment up here near Edmonton. yeah announcers are crazy wow homer city When the Blues had their second 5 on 3 in 2 nights they got called for a penalty and the announcers said it's a make up call but the league doesn't want us mentioning that, then why mention it 🙄. And they said the make up call should've been for holding the stick and not an open hand slap to the face 😳 wtf.

Doesn't matter which stream service you use, if the Hawks game is on it will be blocked in 100 mile radius of chicago. Telling you to go to your local broadcast station. In my case dishnetwork no longer carries the Hawks, Bulls, Sox or cubs since they all wanted more money for the right to show their games. This has been the last 2 years now. All the Hawk games I watch are through GT's stream links. While I feel your pain, I'm not within even a 1000 mile radius of Chicago. But, I have done the Greymarket and Pirate streams before so if that's all you got, go for it. 1st observation: audio and video aren't synched. Pat & Eddie look like a bad martial arts flick. Vid quality is good for the Windows Hulu app. 2nd observation: The ad-revenue module is pissing me off--at least for the Windows Hulu app. Sound and video were beautiful and synced last night, but I came into the game late and wanted to go back and check out the goals. There were a couple of problems with this. - Unlike NHL.TV, and it's predecessor Gamecenter Live, The goals are not indicated on the time bar, requiring you to shuttle back and forth to find them.
- The ads are controlled via dropping out of the feed proper and then playing the ads through to their entirety, and if you shuttle into an ad location you have to sit through all of it. So right after period 1 ended I wanted to go back and check out the goals. Nope, had to wait for the ads to play. Had to shuttle back and forth to find the goals. If the feed shuttles into a place where a commercial would be, you have to sit through the ads before shuttling forward or backward. Ugh.
I wonder if the Xbox ESPN+ app is better; I'll have to check that out on Thursday.

I actually like Connelly but I'd much rather see young guys like Entwistle and Borgstrom on the team. So this is a good move. I thought players who are sent down only had 900+k taken off the Cap from what they make? This article said 1.125 🤔

Not unexpected at all,I've been calling him Brent 'buyout' Connolly since the trade,Borgstrom has to be a real contributor to make this trade look even decent or it's no fleecing at all. 161lb Galvas slots ahead of Beaudin and Mitchell now at the same age.......SAD!

I gotta agree here. Beaudin would be in there if you asked me. Many here, and I mean many had Mitchell in this year and argued he was a sure fire NHLer. Now, what happened to Mitchell being “the next Makar”? Those are Scambo’s words. At some point he’s gotta get called out by the media and even his boss for his talent evaluation. Just awful if you ask me. Without a first rounder this year. Things look bleak in the prospect dept. How many first rounders are wasted or traded away? It’s an absolute recipe for disaster!!!

Stillman was the main piece in that trade and he looks like a top 4 dman. Considering Borgstrom might be playing this season I'd say that's a good trade for Wallmark and Carlsson. Connelly might be a buyout, and yes we've heard that a few times from you lol, but at least he's not making 5mill plus and locked in 3+yrs. He wasn't a liability on the ice and if he goes to Rockford and helps them he might have value at the trade deadline. If de Haan wasn't here I'm sure Beaudin would be on the team and Mitchell recently said he looks forward to playing for Rockford. He's a tough little guy but needs more time before he's NHL ready. Galvas has more pro experience and looks comfortable out there, I'm ok with him as the 7th and getting limited playing time than Beaudin and Mitchell.

Stillman might look like a top four D-man in the preseason, let's s how that shakes out. If Borgstrom doesn't make the lineup AND a difference that 7 million for Connolly skating in Rockford means what? We should be happy we're not paying Zach Smith 2.0 5 million to play in Rockford?.........how has the bar for SB lowered that much? de HAAN's another guy who shoulda been bought out but as it is,we'll be payin' de HAAN,Strome and Connolly over 11 million for little return. More pro experience? The 161lb Euro saw the big ice for the first time ever this preseason and Mitchell saw 39 NHL starts last year. Your optimism is duly noted, let's both hope the fortune spent this offseason turns the team around.

Nice seeing Reichel was sent down to Rockford, no need to rush him. I’m glad to see Crevier going to the Hogs. He’s twenty now, I don’t know if he has overage eligibility left, but from what I saw in the preseason mini tournament with Minnesota and his preseason game against St. Louis, there’s a chance there. Hope they at least sign him to an AHL or ECHL deal. He’s better than Krutil and at least as good a prospect as Philips.

After Crevier was drafted I said he could be a diamond in the rough, kinda like Byfuglien who was taken in the 8th round. Only 7 rounds now but why not draft a 6'8" dman who's mobile, glad he's progressing. I'm also a fan of Krutil and Phillips, pretty good picks in the 4th and 5th rounds respectively. Now they'll all be in Rockford learning from a tough stay at home dman, Stanton. Should be a fun season.

Colton and Allan were sent back to juniors and Osipov and Barratt were sent to Rockford.
Hawks now have 17 forwards, 11 defenseman, and 4 goalies.

Get something at least, same with Nylander Yeah both should be shopped, unfortunately I don't think they're giving up on Nylander. But Subban has value and should get a good return. Subban had a strong second half last season and looked really good in his only start this preseason, he might even be ahead of Lankinen. But neither would clear waivers.

He looked like he’d played pro. I think the team thought the same when he got the OT PP time instead of Mitchell.
