One guy that really wants to be on the starting roster and hopes to play against his brother, is Colton Dach. He looked really good in the 2 Kurvers games, start him on the bottom 6 and see how he does, might work his way up to Bedards line. I wouldn't mind Dach getting a look-see - mainly because I see no purpose in playing most of those bottom-6 guys other than you need the requisite number of warm bodies in the lineup. I hear you, i think the Org will basing all decisions on whats best for development of the young kids meaning is Colton better off playing against NHL players now in a lesser role or going to Rockford playing more min and more PP PK time. As you point out ER the bottom 6 just dont matter right now. Maybe they would like him up here to be taught by coach Perry. To hard for me to put stuff in purple

To hard for me to put stuff in purple For all the pain and angst of Kirby's tenure and the disservice in rushing him by the past crew, for the organization's and us fans' sake, I hope that Colton's eventual success in the Indianhead helps even out the Dach family experience in Chicago.

the 5th 3rd looks like a really nice facility. i read somewhere where they're adding 2 more sheets of ice in the upcoming future. anyways, the organization has always been good at making these kind of videos. or at least they aren't scared to spend some $$ doing it. x.com/CHGO_Blackhawks/status/1704633787919818776?s=20got to be an exciting time for these kids. i'm jealous.

Figure of the 34 forwards, 9 are locks: Athanasiou, Bedard, Foligno, Hall, Johnson, Kurashev, Perry, Reichel and Raddysh. Then what - 4 more out of the remaining 25? Maybe Blackwell, Dickinson, Entwistle and R. Johnson or Hardman?

It’s going to be fun to see who can impress in the next 3 weeks. Plus once the season is under way, the bus will no doubt be going back and forth from Rockford to the UC.

The veteran depth is a bit thin which bodes well for some of the young guys to make it.

The veteran depth is a bit thin which bodes well for some of the young guys to make it. a little bit thin, perhaps by design. they could still dress 4 seasoned vets (seth, connor, zaitsev and tinordi) leaving 2-3 slots for the next wave. just about right i reckon.

maybe coaching is in foligno's future. Luke Richardson said a young Hawks player made a mistake in D-zone coverage today, but by the time he went over to talk to him about it, Nick Foligno was already there, giving the same feedback. Foligno's leadership is going to be huge this season. He is truly beloved by all.x.com/BenPopeCST/status/1704937854005105094?s=20

Definitely a future coach.

I'd add Allan in there, his size, skating, and overall game is exactly what the Hawks need. Send Kaiser to Rockford, like they did with Vlasic last season. My D pairs would be: Jones-Vlasic Murphy-Phillips Allan Korchinski Zaitsev-Tinordi Hopefully KD can find a taker for Zaitsev before the regular season starts, or Murphy.

Almost have to have Allan as there aren’t any other bodies ready except maybe Roos. Gotta start the young guys sometime so might as well be now. LR will be taking a real close look at the D corps over the next couple of weeks.

Is Taylor Hall’s “lower body” injury a continuation of his injury in Boston last season or something new?

And with Allan being able to play either side and them being big Saskatchewan boys, it'd be nice to see them start on the 3rd pair this year with Korchinski getting PP time and Allan PK, let them earn more ice time. Or Allan with Zaitsev and Korchinski with Murphy.

Or Allan with Zaitsev and Korchinski with Murphy. I didn't see any Seattle games until after the WJC completed - but then I watched nearly all their games from mid-January through the Memorial Cup - maybe I missed 5 or 6 games or so. Now, being a geezer I will confess my memory and powers of observation could legitimately be called into question at times - but my recollection is that at even strength the KK-Prokop and Allan-Hanzel pairings were pretty much set in stone for the games I watched. Of course there could have been the odd shift here and there but for the most part KK and Allan didn't play together.
