Thought lardis looked really good last night. Misiak was flying early until the hit but that happens to young guys. Would’ve liked Pharand to get a game but that’s alright.

Blackhawks send Jalen Luypen back to Rockford. Also release D Andrew Perrott, Josh Maniscalo, Josh Healy and Ross MacDouglall from there ATO’s and they will report to Rockford on their Ahl deals.

Glad to see Korchinski and Allan playing again. Looking forward to seeing Del Mastro play.

Definitely more blue collar but it'll be fun seeing the young D. And Zaitsev takes a lot of flack but I trust him far more than Jones on defence.

Dal Mastro and Crevier were paired up at the Kurvers tournament so matching them here again is maybe something they’re thinking about for Rockford. Philips needs to have a good game to remind the organization he’s still here, what with all the new faces showing up and getting the attention. Seems like he’s been around for awhile but still only 22.

reese johnson the only fwd playing from the first game. he didn't really impress me against st. loo just because he never really stood out to me. fwiw his numbers on natural stat trick were near the bottom of the team. i like reese j. but he really has to pick it up this year i reckon.

He had a great look but whiffed on his shot, for a guy fighting for a spot he has to do more then hit.

Not much scoring at all in that lineup. Can't wait to watch though. And I'm rooting for Phillips too but there's so much competition now and so little room on D.

Much like Misiak & Lardis, I am guessing that the whole of line 2's forwards get a game in tonight and then they head to Rockford. Another taste. The one intrigue that I see is M 2 - I thought that he played well enough to get another game, of those 4 (unless line 2 fundamentally disrupts the game tonight which seems to be its ultimate construct), I would guess Marcel gets another game as a look-see. Can't teach the Ryan Reaves/Big Buff-like bigness out there.

I wonder if that will mean he gets a lot of run this pre-season.

My summary of the game against the Wild:
Guttman good.
Bjork bad.
Everyone else somewhere in between.

He's been around long enough to know better than to try cutesy little backhand drop passes like he did multiple times tonight. He skates pretty well - that's it.

He works hard away from the puck and has a good shot but yeah he tries a lot of cute passes that get pick off, or he puts it on their tape.

Hopefully they keep playing him at RD so it will give the Hawks flexibility to get him into the lineup in the future. Interesting Kaiser is slotted to play RD tonight against Detroit - with del Mastro as his partner.
