Thanks for sharing, hopefully Reichel shoots more this year instead of deferring as he did at times last year, great shot. Yeah he looks primed to hit the ground running (ice skating) this season.

not a peep about the goalies at least from what i've looked at lately. idk...possibly because the #1 and #2 have basically been anointed already. maybe something will turn up today as i'm still not even finished my first nescafe here this morning.

Oof, Ludwinski missed that assignment as Kaiser pointed out. Silky move, and I was only really excited about Bedard before this clip: .

That's cool his dad was a center in Germany, plus he studied footage of Toews and Bergeron, 2 of the best. And he also watched how they played defensively.

The article didn't give a solid reason. Ellie Prospects site has him playing in 4 of the 8 games his junior squad has already played. Must have gotten a leave to come here. But he’s an 18 year old center who’s 6’4” and 200 lbs who has 3 goals and 5 points in those 4 games. Be really nice to see him pan out.

He was very noticeable at the Kurvers tournament, big guy with great edgework and he's smart defensively, was a big part of the PK vs St Louis.

Scrimmage #2 was live steamed and the coaches will have a tough job picking who stays and who's cut.
Allan looks the most ready of the possible young D to make the team, but Korchinski, Kaiser, Phillips, Del Mastro, Crevier and Vlasic are making a case as well.
Up front Entwistle looks healthy and ready for a full time role.
Rolston is really impressing me, doesn't do anything half assed and he has good size and he's a great skater.
Misiak will be a top9 forward in 2-3yrs, he's big and smart with and without the puck.
And Marcel² is a tank, gonna be fun following him in Rockford.

Allan looked good, but obviously there were a couple of times he could have lit somebody up and didn’t, want to see him in an exhibition game where he can use his full game. Kaiser looks good as well, smart and smooth, he and Jones seem to be an item now. I thought Korchinski didn’t show all that well but Murphy as his partner didn’t either. That 27, 89 and 23 line had a lot of fun out there. Looking forward to seeing what their year will look like. Hockey might be fun again this season, there’s no shortage of storylines to follow.

Just got done watching the scrimmage. Did a whole lot of pausing and backing it up to rewatch plays so I could be sure I saw everything and what numbers were involved in the play.
My main takeaway was the AA-Reichel-Kurashev line is a THING. They were flying and meshed like they've been playing together for years. Awesome.
My second takeaway was Bedard made enough plays for the red team to win but only one of them was finished by a linemate. Hall is either not in game shape yet or he's fighting it for some other reason. Maybe I should give Soderblom some credit since he played pretty well.
It's hard to tell if the team is fast relative to the other players on the team of if its really fast relative to "really fast". They sure do look fast though.

I thought Korchinski forced a couple passes but he showed he's much stronger, one shift he pinned Reese against the boards to create a turnover, then he pinned Savoie and when they got the puck down he rushed to the offensive zone and pinned a dman to the boards to create another turnover. 3 times in one shift against strong players bodes well.

I’m wondering if how they paired up the veteran d-men with the rookies is suggesting who’s going to have the best chance of staying up. Kaiser and Jones, Korchinski with Murphy, Tinordi and Allan, Zaitsev and Vlasic with the Roos/Philips and Crevier/Del Mastro pairings earmarked for Rockford. Or it could have just been a matter of matching lefty’s and righty’s as much as possible.

so...is this exhibition home opener against st. loo going to sell out? My guess is yes...an historical game with interest in CB driving sales should yield a sellout.

Finally got a chance to watch some of the short interviews with various guys and was impressed overall. Kaiser seems very smart and understanding of the game and how he needs to approach it. The bonding of young and old appears to be going well - just a positive vibe. Not sure this is unique to just the Hawks right now as all players are excited about a new season but it’s encouraging nonetheless.

My mistake for clicking on the date in the lower right corner of my laptop and looking at Sept. and not below at the first week in Oct. I can agree that more time in the Blackhawks training camp before heading to Rockford should be good for them. I would think more time at an NHL camp where young guys get to go against some older players should really help this season's Rockford newcomers right out of juniors and college, such as Marcel, Rolston, Luypen, and Dach. I may have omitted someone.

I think they just want to give him a little taste before he heads to Rockford. He may get a call up if there's an injury but otherwise I think he's in Rockford all season.

I'm sure they want him to get a lot of work in in Rockford the next 2-3 seasons, depending on how Arvid does.
