edit: on a sidenote, chris vosters was a regular poster on twitter but nothing from him since june 5th which was about the time the broadcast crew rankings came out and a couple days later when his replacement was named. Gibsons nice steakhouse one of many in Chicago. one of the best places in the world to get a slab of cow, Chicago. I preferred Bavette's and GG to Gibson's, personally. I'm sure there are more than few newer ones that are just as good now, too. one of the best food cities in the US!

I read somewhere else that the Hawks might keep Vosters in some capacity with their new channel. Maybe the Boyle role? as for vosters, he's been doing olympic stuff for nbc...kayaking and taekwondo. i think he's doing it in the u.s., don't believe he's actually in paris.

I like PB. Good for him. Hopefully we’ve seen the last of Cayley. Maybe they should tryout someone like Versteeg? He’s a pretty colourful guy!!!

I've never had any problems with Boyle, I'm glad he's back. Yeah, I saw/heard Vosters doing the Olympic Kayaking. It was kind of surreal for some reason.

Genna Rose can stay there forever, I like her. They already had great guys to be there, Burrish, Shaw, Sharp, Jamal, Scott even Darling.

Seems like a good dude but he was quite bad. I wish Cailey was gone for good but at least she's part time. I like Genna, but they better get another -- I don't want to say "real," so I'll just say "ex-NHL'er" -- option (who isn't named Chelios). Maybe Genna's great -- I hope so -- but I've never seen her hockey acumen on display. I wish they brought on Grimson. I thought he was solid. Speaking of this new Channel, where the fuck is it already? I mean it's already September, let's go. Start informing people what channel number on each provider, etc.

Oh man, that sucks. Do you know if the opposing teams will have broadcasts that could be picked with a Firestick?
Somewhere, Bill Wirtz must be laughing.

No idea. Good chance I'll go old school and just catch it on the radio. Idk...maybe you could cross enemy lines and ask at one of the opposing teams' boards what you just asked me here. Because as far as I'm concerned a firestick is something used for roasting marshmallows, so I'll be of zero help.

I may have to go old school too. But we just bought a new TV and got fiber optic internet. I'm ready to rock.

You have to buy an OTA, Over The Air box, and an antenna to get the channels. Box is 99.95 dollars and the antenna install on the roof or attic could cost around 400. They can basically eat shit as far as I'm concerned.

They can basically eat shit as far as I'm concerned. Wait, not sure this is accurate. After I read the article, I just thought you needed an antenna. This below (from their website) seems to confirm it. It still is a bit of a pain to have to buy an antenna, but they're quite cheap. It's an small indoor antenna. You just put it on the floor or in the window, or attach it to the wall, etc. "Q. With more than 300 games on CHSN available over the air, how do I access the games I want to watch? A. You will need an over-the-air antenna, which will require a one-time purchase. These antennas offer HD quality picture and are easy to install. The good news is that over-the-air antennas are relatively inexpensive and can be found everywhere. Antennas typically cost between $10 – 50 Antennas are typically small, flat, and lightweight. We recommend you visit this website for guidance on selecting and installing an antenna and scanning for channels." chsn.com/info#premium-offerings

Best antenna they said in the article is a roof or attic one. But they're not telling us what "partners" they have for satellite or cable viewing.

I live relatively close to the city and I actually have a window antenna for one TV in my abode -- it is a bit of a pain for certain channels, but normally all it takes is a readjustment of the antenna. But if you live in a rural area, then yeah, might be rougher. I'd try an antenna for $50 first, maybe you get lucky; if not, you can always return it. Either way, it does suck. They're not telling us what partners because they literally don't have any right now, lol. They're still in negotiations with them all. How you don't nail down contracts with all the major providers when you had almost a year is beyond me. Typical Blackhawks shit-show.
